Amazing how a QB who can put the ball

in the right spot makes your hands look better, isn’t it?

first time i have seen him catch in stride like that

that is what impressed me the most… Cutler is putting the ball in Hester’s hands allowing Hester to maintain his speed. Cutler’s accuracy is a large part of this, but Hester is a freak. If he is not maintaining his speed when catching these well thrown balls he actually appears to be accelerating. Most WR’s hesitate or slow down a little at the point of the catch even when the ball is well thrown [especially other Bears WRs as shown in the video]… with his speed he can get open and with Cutler’s accuracy leading Hester in a manner that perpetuates more speed this is going to be a great QB/WR tandem.

Hester, Bennett-80, Iglesias-17, Knox-13, Rashied-81, and Forte

got the catches in the video….no Rideau

Bennett’s move at :51 is real nice

was it?

or was it a bad move by the defender? I felt the latter, really…

I remember not liking that catch

in a lot of ways because it was not seamless, in contrast to Hester’s which i blather on about above. on first glance it appeared that Earl seemed unsure at the point of the catch and immediately after. Like if it were a real game situation his pause after catching the ball would have gotten him hit hard leading to an incomplete or resulting in zero YAC. I will continue to be tough on earl until he shows less "look at me. oh my god i can’t believe i caught that. " and more " damn straight i caught it, it is my ball. now try to stop me from getting into the end zone"

bennett looked REAL good!!!

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.

In the video looks like Knox is getting alot of reps

also from the Daily Herald:

Based on early returns in OTA’s, this year’s top Bears rookie has been wide receiver Johnny Knox, the fifth-round pick from Abilene Christian.

Knox, who is arguably the fastest player on the field, has shown sticky fingers in almost every practice, catching anything within his grasp and rarely having a bobble let alone a drop. He’s still got a long way to go before he gets on the field once the regular season begins, but Knox will challenge for playing time in three and four-wide receiver sets if he continues to show the same sure hands and run-after-the-catch ability.

Madden comes out August 14th

the official NFL calendar may say otherwise… but that is when football actually starts.

Nice find.

Not bad for 5’9" fella.

Be nice. Flag comments that you think are offensive. Use the "reply" button. Drink plenty of water. Compliment others. Rec comments and posts you like. Don't call people names. If you don't like someone's comment, attack the comment and not the commentor. Learn the difference in your/you're, then/than, to/too. Exercise. Relax. Stretch often. Find good in the world.
