Mike Brown Heading to Cleveland

After not being offered a contract from Kansas City, it is being reported that Mike Brown is headed to Cleveland for a visit with the Browns.
If he should get picked up by the Dawg Pound, the Bears would face him twice this season, once in the pre-season finale and then again in Week 7.

I know MB wants to play...
and it is a total selfish thought of me, but I’d rather see him hang up the cleats than play in someone else’s uniform.

At least when he gets his yearly injury this time...
he’ll get a bonus staph infection to go with it.
Way to go, Browns. Lysol is for @$$holes.

you deserve a "wreck" today!!!

It's not referred to as "rec'd" on WCG?
That’s depressing.
Certainly unique that a “w” magically appears, considering I think it’s short for recommended.

Sorry, I'll take the blame for that one.
A few months ago, I started “Wrecking” people’s comments and posts… just thought it looked funny.

Haha, that's different.
I like “wrecking” posts over giving posts a “wreck”. Good call.

"rec" is obviously shorter and more accurate, but...
“WRECK”, which is longer, and always in parentheses when i write it, has a certain “joie de vivre”…

I wish MB was still a Bear but....
if he goes to Cleaveland it’ll be sad watching him get torched by Jay and the crew.
Because as far as we're concerned, there is still no team in the history of the NFL that could beat the '85 Bears.

I hope he gets
to play again. Then after he retires from the field, he needs to join The Bears coaching staff. MAN that would be awesome!!

If he can wait until next year maybe
Babich’s job will be available, but I don’t know if MB really wants to be the Equipment Manager.

Nice
I don’t think they will fire Babich, just keep demoting him.
Kick it to me... I'm open!

Hey, maybe Babich would be the equipment manager?

I was just doing an impression of Orton to Hester.

When the Bears take down Cleveland this year
Do you think MB will go to the Cleveland local newspapers and announce to them “Its like we suck” as he did after the Bears lost to the Browns a few years back

If He Signs
He’ll be on IR by the time they play the Bears any way.
by GallopingGhost on Jun 9, 2009 10:37 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Hey now. He did play all but the final game last year.
He may not be a Bear anymore, but I hope this site doesn’t start making fun of one of the best playmakers and leaders our team has had recently.
Kick it to me... I'm open!

Thank you...
PC Load Letter? WTF does that mean?!

You are Right
I was kind of harsh on him. He has been one of my favorite Bears in recent memory. I apologize.

I wanna see him play
against us. And he can be with his buddy John St. Clair LOL… But no matter where Mike goes I hail him, I respect what hes done for us when hes not injured.
by Zoro on Jun 9, 2009 10:56 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I agree
He gave everything he could for us. Now he’s just trying to make a living doing what he loves. I wish him well just not against us!

Actually, I wish him well
(especially) against us. I just need The Bears to win the games.

I know this is selfish but..
I really wanted the bears to keep him, cause his is the only bears jersey I own. but now that hes gone I’m still gonna where it in his honor.

I wanted the Bears to keep him because he's a damn good player.
by Black Sox Baseball on Jun 9, 2009 2:26 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
yeah
Why don’t the Bears ask him back? They still need a safety! But since I live in the Cleveland area…I wouldn’t mind him mentoring some of the idiot DB’s from the Browns.
by mpaps44 on Jun 9, 2009 2:32 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
I'm not really sure. It's not like dropping him has lead to us getting a new, better Safety.
If we were clearing up the position to get an improved player that’d be one thing, but I don’t see that as being the case.

Mike Brown is completely washed up and has been washed up
Good luck in Cleveland. Hopefully you don’t suffer yet another major injury in the process of the Cleveland Browns going 4-12 on the football season.
You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little messed up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?

He will be great
Now that he is away from Chicago I predict he will not be injured this year or next. I am sure, just like most former Chicago players who left, he will find his stride and make it to the pro bowl. Or get a Superbowl ring while we aren’t.
by Katsrevenge on Jun 9, 2009 3:12 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I would agree with you but
its the browns, if he goes there he is guarenteed to not make a probowl or a playoff game and especially not a superbowl, they are the midwestern raiders.
