Too early for any SB predictions...
The Vikings have AP and that’s all, Favre does not help them. BTW, the bit on the FBs makes me stop and think. Are the Bears wasting development of talent for the sake of “safe” veteran choices that underperfrom? (looking at you Vasher). More importantly, what does this say about the position coaches? (the actual Bears PCs, not you Wilt!)
Finally, I am now officially 150% fu<&ing geeked up for this season.
Let’s get it on!!!!!!!!!!
Now!!!!!!!!
No more waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NCAA
They’re tighter than two coats of paint. That’s the best, clean joke I could come up with. Seriously though, tickets to an NFL game and the University has to pay Jay back. A tad bit overboard if you ask me.

It makes me sad...
that the Bears are likely going to keep McKie as the sole FB. Hopefully, with our revamped OLine, new QB, and developing WRs, as well as the healthy tandem of RBs, our short yardage playcalling might look a bit different this year. The possibilities in that situation are definitely going to be different… I just hope turner knows what he is doing.

If any play stands out as burning a whole of rage in my mind from last year,
it’s the short yardage hand off to Mckie…
I would see the formation, and say, “please don’t give it to McKie…” You know how it ends….

A little creativity
How about fake handoff to McKie, roll-out (Cutler can do this!) for a short run or option?

wait,
are we certain that the playbook has a roll-out play? or is that something that needs to be developed to suit Cutler’s abilities?

Probably added to the playbook
cause the Bears haven’t had a mobile QB for quite awhile.

What you all probably don't know
McKie is highly regarded league wide as a top blocking fullback.

Sorry, I'm not about to explore the archives of NFL Network.
Maybe you should ask Rich “Freaky” Eisen.

Why can't the Bears use Henry Melton as the short yardage back?
After all, he was a RB (a short yardage specialist) until he was converted to the defensive line at Texas. I suspect he’d do much better than McKie in getting that one yard that the team kept failing on last year.
what about Gaines?
i seem to remember chatter about possibly using him as a FB in short-yardage… or maybe i’m still a little stoned from yesterday…

I agree about the FB position, I'd rather see them give the rookie a legitimate shot
I think McKie should retire. He could open a restaurant in Lake Forest called “The Dive” and all the tables would be a few inches short of yard long. Ron Turner would be a regular customer and I’m sure Rashied would “drop” in pretty often.

Is there a create-a-caption pic somewhere that I missed???

That Goal Line Stand article...
is just rubbish.
No real analysis, just some kind of lame argument like “the coach would want to win this game”. What?! Let’s have some real judgement of the matchup!
Just let McKie block
I’d rather see Anthony Adams pounding the ball, than McKie

I missed it
I think at one point my eyes and brain were filtering past articles that were titled “Cutler’s Maturity” or “Cry-baby QB” or “I’m Denver fan, someone kill me” etc….
lmao
I have to fight through that filter every single day. I need to come up with a ranking system so people know which articles are good and which aren’t.

I was just thinking earlier
that maybe there could be a end-of-week roundup, where you re-post the best articles from the past week. Was trying to come up with a diplomatic way of suggesting it, so as not to suggest that you post articles that suck. But since you’re already aware that some of them suck, I’ll save the euphemisms for another time. I realize how incredibly difficult it is to find anything worth reading this time of year, so please don’t think that I’m taking a shot at you or anything.

Oh, I know it
I include the fantasy football stories and those are very hit or miss. The official home page LOVES to write up stories about player’s camps, which I pass on to everyone in case people have kidlets that want to go.
I think I’ve figured something out for ranking the stories that I’ll debut tomorrow….make sure you guys let me know if you like that or want me to try something else.
