Three kids in one year.
Why does this guy never seem to show up for athletes?

$1,500 / week
That’s $78,000 a year in non-taxable income the “baby” is receiving – and she wants more. And that’s only one of the three seeds. No wonder Briggs held out for more money.

Still lives in an apartment with her mother and grandmother...
Not her fault though he should have worn a raincoat or two… I swear sometimes these guys are just so damn stupid..

Yes, but it is her fault that she is a gold digger. I have a child, and it doesn’t cost any where near that to feed, house and clothe her. 2 year old’s do not eat fillet for dinner every night and care if they dress in Louis V.
Yes, he was/is dumb for putting himself in that situation. But she is no better.

wow
can you say being took..yes he should pay child support but when it turns out to be ex support its too much…$5 says she is unemployed and on welfare.
Bring back our honey bears...sick and tired of hearing about the dallas cowboy cheerleaders and the bars they go work at when they quit. cold weather + cheerleaders in skimpy outfits = lots of fun
I don't think you can be on welfare
When youre getting 1500 a week. That is surely more than I make. Maybe she just lives with her grandma to get help with the kid since the dad isn’t around.
Let’s not make Briggs a victim here. He knows how babies are made. He’s rich, what is more important for him to spend money on? His kids or another sports car to wreck? A man is supposed to support his kids.

i wouldnt know
but i dont think child support counts as income..im not trying to make anybody out to be a victim..but she is taking him..1500 a week? seriously..does a 2 year old need that kind of dough

Solution: wear a condom when having random sex.
It’s like drinking and getting in your car, rather than taking a cab or a limo. They have the money, but lacking common sense.

random sex...
with a girlfriend hardly counts as random good analysis below.. i would round up and do 1000 a week or 4k a month should be reasonable enough..still seems high to me

Maybe not with the woman in question
but what about the other three kids?

Relevance?

No one is making him out to be the victim. It is just ridiculous to assume that you need more than $1,500 a week (tax free) to support a child. Here’s an idea – she could get a job and actually use the money that was intended for the child – FOR THE CHILD!
To break this down in numbers:
› Food & Milk - $930 / month (avg. of $30 a day)
› Diapers, Wipes, etc - $100 / month
› Clothes & Toys - $500 / month
› Daycare—- $950 / month
› Water Bill - $50 / month*
› Electric Bill - $200 / month*
› College Fund - $625 / month
-————————————————————
› $3,355
And the numbers above are VERY generous – no two-year old really needs $30 a day for food or $500 a month for clothes and toys. I also threw in the water and electric bill for the entire household since children like to watch t.v. and occasionally take baths – damn needy kids. And the $650 a month for the College fund would be enough to send the kid to Harvard with no financial aid. Yet, she is complaining about only receiving $6,500 a month in child support.
My thoughts: The money is not about the child’s welfare or with the child in mind – it is for the mother’s sake. Speculative, I know – but I don’t care. Comments like “We want Nariana to enjoy a lifestyle as any child whose father earns a substantial income might enjoy — certainly nothing less than he provides for his other children” strongly support my stance.

Your numbers make sense, except it also should include
how the child would be treated if Briggs actually raised the child, as a parent, within his income level. I’m not saying I agree with it totally, but you can’t look at it from an average person’s income perspective. I also agree that she is definitely a gold digger and probably didn’t do a lot to prevent this from happening herself, but any professional athlete should be aware that these women are out there and looking for a payday. If it was one kid, with one woman, then I’d cut him some slack, anyone can make a mistake. But 3 different kids with 3 different women inside of a year is absolutely the height of being irresponsible. He should pay big time just for being that stupid.
Except those numbers aren't from the average person prospective.
Who do you know drops $930 a month on food for an entire family, let alone just for a two year old? Who do you know gets $500 a month on clothes and toys, or can afford to put $625 a month in a College fund?
And like I showed, those numbers only show a little over half of the money that she is currently getting and complaining about. Where does the other $3k go? I am guessing that those numbers wouldn’t be too much higher even if she and Lance were married and raising Nariana together. A kid can only eat so much and have so many golden plated rattles.
Irresponsible – yes! But he is already paying big time for being stupid and he is doing it three fold. At least he is making his child support payments, that’s more than some dead beat “dads” do.

So
He’s a 7th round pick who’s career was made by Brett Favre telling us a QB can’t make a WR?
nah, don’t even put it on the board. He’s an idiot.

I have been saying this for months!
I really want the Bears to take a look at this guy. He’s a tight end with Wide Receiving Speed, and a massive Red Zone threat, who has only gotten more productive on the field.
And he comes cheaper than Torry Holt would have, Marvin Harrison, Plaxico “One Leg” Buress.
Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

I've been on board for awhile now
I don’t want to see the Bears not make the playoffs cause of their WR corp.

Reggie Williams is out there too
I think the Bears are waiting to start camp, see everyone in pads with contact, and re-evaluate the WRs again from there.

I hope you're right
but I agree that’s what they’ll do. First see who can play, then maybe add someone after the first week of camp.

Ever been fishing on the west coast?
Caught my limit of king salmon, the my limit on abalone, then a 28 lb halibut all in the same day.
Also in San Diego you can fish for white marlin the fight lasts as long as an hour sometimes. That’s reel fishing right thar!

striped marlin
Its striped marlin there. White marlin are an atlanic species. That sounds like a lot more fun than being in chicago with our 50 degree summer. Damn that global warming.
