Nice article by Peter Schrager (foxsports.com)

Defends Cutler and refuses to say a certain QB’s name. Refers to him as the “F” word.

Good stuff!

i personally like the example that was given...

i remember not too long ago, when a friend called me up and said he found a listing for my job on monster.com, and i was the top PM at the time… so, if anybody gets it, i do! he’s been stellar off the field, so far, and i highly doubt that it’s an act…

I completely agree

I’ve personally never been in the position, but I can imagine what it would feel like having a new boss come in and try to replace you after proving you’re one of the best at what you do. I love Kyle Orton, but Orton and Robert Ayers don’t, and probably never will, equal Jay Cutler.

Olsen w/ 7 td's?

I could definitely live w/ that, especially since I’m planning on drafting him later on today.

"The phone's for you, I think it's the Devil."

by Acreman20 on Jul 2, 2009 9:25 AM CDT up reply actions

FF draft this early

Wow, I guess you have to fix that jones somehow.

I admit, Olsen with 7 TD’s wasn’t conservative. Did you think the rest of Larry’s predictions were?

by rdent4hof on Jul 2, 2009 9:41 AM CDT up reply actions

No

We won’t pass as much and even Larry realizes that Hester is only a big play guy (given his predicted yards) and he realizes the receiving corp is week (given that our RB is the leading receiver too) and Olsen leading with 7TDs is about right, especially since you assume a strong running game would score a lot of TDs and 7 is a lot for any one receiver to have.

by Sam Householder on Jul 2, 2009 10:34 AM CDT up reply actions

Yeah...

I’m seriously craving some football, and since my 360 has had a visit from death himself, FF is all I have. As far as the offense goes, I think Mayers’ predictions are logical and close to what they should be. I doubt Hester will have 1, 000 yards receiving, like alot of fans think he will, but if he keeps the D honest and makes plays he’s doing his job IMO as well as opening the field up for Olsen, Bennett, whoever is in the slot(I’m praying it’ll be Knox), and Forte out of the backfield.

Hahaha, I found the pics of the girl when I was googling for something for the caption competition and sent the links to GB. Didn’t want to suggest them, though, ’cos somehow I think the entries would have been fairly similar and possibly unfit for a family website :-D

My bad

How naive of me to think it was actually GB’s girlfriend. I couldn’t imagine many girls agreeing to post a seductive pic on a website.

Age difference

There’s surely a generation gap between myself and the girls you speak of. They’re a little more risque than generation Xers. Although, based on my experiences the girls who are more open with their sexuality are typically less pleasing where it counts. The girls who are a little more conservative seem to have better skills.

by Ditkavsworld on Jul 2, 2009 2:39 PM CDT up reply actions

Here's a new OT idea

Instead of having a single possession sudden-death period it should be played like a regular quarter with a twist.
If the team that wins the coin toss scores they then kick the ball off to the other team who gets a chance to score, if they fail to do so the other team wins. If the team that wins the coin toss fails to score and punts to the other team who then scores game’s over. That way both teams get a possession and it’s still not a full quarter. It’s sort of a baseball-type OT where both teams get a chance to score since they finish the inning.

by Sam Householder on Jul 2, 2009 10:41 AM CDT reply actions

That's been debated now forever

I wish they’d switch it to that format.
