PrintWith it being a holiday and all (yay for football practice!), I figured I'd start a running post with the funnest Tweets from Bears training camp for those of you interested.
I'm currently following Jeff Dickerson, Brad Biggs, Larry Miller and Greg Olsen... if you know of any others feel free to add them!
In no particular order:
gregolsen82 Just got word the NFL network piece from camp will air Aug 6 on night time total access. be sure to tune in
BradBiggs Practice starts in 2 hours and cars are piling into the parking lots.

ESPNChiBears Somebody stole alex brown's bike.
ESPNChiBears Tommie harris says he's physically ready. let's hope so.
ESPNChiBears Nate vasher put in some serious work training down in dallas this past month. he's a guy to keep close tabs on in camp.
ESPNChiBears Ron Turner hints at maybe using forte and Kevin jones in the same backfield.
BradBiggs Seifert asked wade if he stood by what he said. Wade replied: "I don't know what you're talking about" and laughed.
ESPNChiBears Lunch is not ready yet. The offensive linemen are not happy!

ChicagoBearscom LM: The Bears waived second-year linebacker Joey LaRocque and rookie guard Dennis Conley after Conley failed his physical.

Jeff Dickerson reports that Joey Laroucqe and denis conley are cut
the only reason i see Joey being cut is because we already have too many LBs, Conley failed a physical.
Conley failed his physical
and failed to make weight.
Don’t know exactly why LaRocque was released but Dickerson confirmed it w/ his agent.
Forte And Kevin Jones In Same Backfield?
I love the concept! That’s great news. I could see a split backfield with both of them going out into the flat as receivers. It sounds like Ron Turner is starting to explore different options with out stale playbook. This is great news for all Bears fans, I’m excited!

I reserve work for Mondays only. I get it done early and then just randomly disperse it throughout the week to make it look like I stay busy.
I actually took the day off today and went movie hopping. But it does make me a little sad inside that I missed it.

I just didn’t understand why he would talk crap about me over at DN, without giving me a chance to reply. On top of the fact, that I have only had two total interactions with the kid since I joined. Silliness.
He still never gave examples to why he called either of us out, but did apologize, for what it’s worth.

The wifey loves football.
She grew up a Cowboys fan because she didn’t know any better. But now is a faith follower of our beloved.
While she was in labor, she asked me to help get her mind off the pain. So, I started quizzing her Bears trivia and she shocked me at how much she really knew.

Yup
went in the morning of 10 Sept, he was born early afternoon 11 Sept. She did most of it without an epidural too. I would’ve punked out about 5 min in and said give me the drugs. Sad part was she went through all of that and ended up having to have a Csection.

I could probably
get some good 1 ply from work, you know the sandpaper stuff. Nothings too good for us. It is weird and the only reason I figured it out was because he put up a post on the DN about the Heart Walk in October. So i clicked on the link to the page he’s rasing money from and then clicked on corporation and my base showed up. Never knew he was actually close enough to litterally throw stones at.

To all members: Sorry that we slacked today. Without giving much too much information on our current issues, we’re all busy with other things that are (and deservedly so) taking our attention from the site. At the moment, I’m the least busy one, so my plan for this weekend is to have a Weekend Bears Den each morning, hopefully have a Twitter post from Allie during the day, then a recap every night.
Again, sorry for not really being around today. We’ll get it turned around tomorrow.

I went to work then drove 2 1/2 hours home, so I was MIA for a while. Hopefully we’ll get this all straightened out before the season starts. Just two more weeks of work :)

In the (extremely) small town of Murfreesboro, NC...
where I attended (a small, baptist funded) College. There is a store called Unique Boutique. You walk in to the sounds of American Gospel’s own, Kirk Franklin, jamming over the loud speaker. The racks are filled with Jesus loves me scarves and vibrantly colored old Church lady hats. You go to check out in the back of the store, and behind the register, there is a shelf full of adult toys advertising a completely separate section of the store located through a door that one would normally think of as warehouse space.
Nothing beats shopping for Saturday night and Sunday morning at the same time. Sorry, but your pic reminded me of this store.

Olive (Popeye got pissed) College through the USAF when I was in NC. You ever been to Mt. Olive? Well guess what, they are famous for pickles so that’s pretty much the entire experience.

No, seriously, it’s about an hour and a fifteen from Greenville and the same to Elizabeth City. About 30 minutes from Franklin, VA or 45 from Suffolk, VA. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere on the NE part of the state.
