Twitter Hits: Bears Style

While we are waiting on the game today, let's check in with some Twitter feeds from folks around our organization:

Greg Olsen- Yes i am playing..feel great looking forward to getting out there

Jeff Dickerson- Danieal manning and zack bowman ruled out by smith.  Lovie smith says tommie harris, greg olsen and matt forte will play vs. Giants.

Larry Mayer- Bears players select captains (2 offense, 2 offense, 1 special teams) during week leading up to regular season opener.  Bears never had ex-Rams receiver Torry Holt in for a visit during the offseason and didn't make him a contract offer.

And Vaughn McClure Tweeted yesterday that Afalava picked off Cutler near the goalline, and Rashied Davis had a drop in the second 7-7 drills where Cutler was 4/6 passing.

I won't be around much today, and we have the Game Thread going up at 1pm (CT), but if any of you find any Twitter updates that are worth mentioning, feel free to throw them up.

I'll try and guess who will be captains.

Cutler, Kreutz , Ur, seem to be locks… either Briggs or Brown on defense and on special teams I will go with….. Gould?

Honorable mention to Orlando Pace. Man seven feels like a long ways away.

I doubt Gould gets it.

Mannelly and Maynard have seniority. I think TIllman has a real good shot, too.

Cutler, Kruetz, Briggs, Urlacher, and Gould

For sure, Cant wait to see Cutler in soldier field, I was just watching the Denver/Chicago game from two years ago(yea pretty pathetic I still have that game recorded on my DVR), that was like Cutlers coming out party really, how things come full circle. Too Bad Mr Hester overshadowed Cutlers great performance, man was he slingin that night and it was wet and cold too, what a fun game to watch, thats what you get for kickin to the greatest kick returner of ALL TIME!!

That Game

Was my last hoorah hope that Grossman would work out as our QB. That last drive and throw to Berrian for the tying TD was epic. Then the play-action pass to Dez to set up for the winning FG.

agreed

i still have that game on my dvr too. “this is unbelievable, this is UNBELIEVABLE!!” with that other tool saying “i don’t get it”. also good because that was the last game for scrubby benson in a bears uniform. grossman got hammered a lot because of d line penetration and he still managed to make some plays. that 3rd down fumble in the red zone was big time suckage though.

You've learned well, young jedi

:-P

Dickerson says: Standing down on soldier field. Grass in great shape. Take a picture. This doesn’t last.

Football. On the lakeshore. And it feels like October outside.
