The things I took from this game....................
Wow what a surprise the Broncos took some cheap shots at Cutty.
But 98 yard drives, now thats what Im talking about, in a hostile enviroment on the road (Here we come Green Bay)
It was a little disconcerting to see Pace just being a turnstyle last night, but hey, when youre a future HOF you can not take Preseason seriously and most of us will give you a pass, but try that crap in Green Bay and we will have problems.
But my most favorite thing to happen and I think you probably know where Im going with this was of course my guy Devin looking a lot like my guy Devin of two years ago. It wasnt the fact that he returned one with such grace, quickness, and that shiftiness we all got soo used to seeing for a couple of years. It was the fact that he did it on basically the first attempt that he had an opportunity (I know what you pessimists will say, and I know fielding a punt AFTER you fair catch inside the 5 is completely unacceptable) But hey if hes going to return to form this year on Punts and hopefully kickoffs again that will make us really hard to beat and I can live with SOME of his boneheaded decisisons.
I know right now he isnt on kickoffs but if he starts to get hot and Manning is still having problems with the hammy, then whos a better option back there, thats an easy answer. That return by far got me pumped up the most, and Im hoping that helps spring him back into the most dangerous return man in the league. God hes a bad ass, God Im pumped up right, God Im really drunk right now, Bring it on Green Bay Bring it on, yessssssss sirrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Gotta share this gem...
I normally skip Rosenbllom, but this is priceless:
Rashied Davis made a great tackle on Eddie Royal on the Bears’ first punt. Royal had room to run. Davis closed fast. So, Davis can catch receivers; he just can’t catch as a receiver. . . .
There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.
Further headlines from Fox and ESPN:
Alex Marvez neglects to mention the early questioning of the high price for Cutler by suggesting “everyone” thought the trade was a steal. So quick to jump on the bandwagon:

Great Den Line today!
How would you have liked to have been one of those morons that dressed up like a baby, with a bonnet and pacifier, only to watch Cutler drive 98yds up your ass!
How sweet it is…
Btw, here’s an idea for a one-liner.
Where the back up QB is no longer the most popular guy in town, it’s the #3 WR.
In this weeks "3 that help themselves, 3 ..."
Vaughn has Pace listed in the down column. While I certainly agree that Pace was getting the business from Dumervil, especially during the first half. I think his roster spot is pretty secured and the column should be focusing on those players whom might not be here in two weeks or are in position battles.
RB
I hear a lot of talk about the WR position battle, for good reason, it is closely contested. The RB position battle is also being fiercely contested, just not getting the same headlines. I really thought that Kevin Jones was a lock for the #2 spot. Not willing to say that anymore.
The toughest part of the RB spot I thought was going to be what happened between Garret Wolfe and Adrian Peterson. I absolutely love both players but was bracing myself for one of the two to get cut. I mean, wasn’t Kevin Jones supposed to be back to rookie phenom form? Kevin Jones has done a whole lot of nothing to convince me that he is better than either our AP or GW. Personally I think I like AP better anyway.
A shout out to a couple Veterans who I think have been bringing it this off-season:
Dez Clark: While I have always loved Dez in the TE spot and think he is one of our most dependable players for a long time. He has really been bringing it for the past 3 weeks.
Adrian Peterson/Garret Wolfe: Going to list them together. While their physical styles are somewhat different. I think both these players have the same heart and give 110% every time.
Rashied Davis: It’s a little hard to say, but I was never really a Rashied hater either. Have to admit he has been playing hard.
Beekman: Seems like a great teammate and looks like he really puts in the time.
Cudos on the Dez love...
I don’t understand how its possible, but he looks quicker and faster than he’s ever been.
The Jay Cutler effect
Hit the man in stride so he never has to hesitate and hit him when he’s open for good yac.
If you can't laugh at yourself you must not be very funny.
Can't say I'm sorry to see that...
more accomplished WR/TEs performing at a high level. EXCELLENT!

The offense
really looks like they have a lot of promise. It is exciting to watch, that 98 yard drove had the looks of something that could be a regular thing for that offense. Not just a fluke.
He does seem
somewhat rejuvenated. Maybe it was loosing the starting title. He has always been solid for us, really giving a lot of 2nd effort for a veteran in a pre-season game.
Dickerson pre-game:
Heard a funny comment by a stadium worker here in Denver. “This is our Super Bowl,” the guy said. “We all know the Broncos are going to stink this year, so we want to win this one. Badly.”
Dickerson again:
Denver press box announcer having a rough night pronouncing names like Adewale Ogunleye, Tinoisamoa, Devin Aromashodu, etc.
I liked this little story from Haugh about Kreutz, seems like he’s as excited as advertised:
Using one arm to wave a navy Broncos No. 6 “CUTLER” jersey like a flag, Bears center Olin Kreutz wrapped his other arm around quarterback Jay Cutler as they walked together triumphantly off Invesco Field.
“This might make me popular in Chicago,” Kreutz cracked about the souvenir a fan threw down at him.
