best line...
but Knox is one of the fastest players on the team and may have the softest hands of any receiver on the roster.
i think i hear the creaking of the door that’s quickly closing on rasheid…
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.

Not sure if these were posted elsewhere, but I thought they were good reads.

After Terry Boers stirred up that rumor of Urlacher and Cutler fighting
I wouldn’t consider posting anything 670 the score says.

I didn't post anything about Boers's comments
Can’t take one or two individuals and lump everyone else in there together.
Example: Rick Morrissey is a goon, but David Haugh and Dan Pompei are good at their jobs. I don’t have contempt for the rest of the Trib writers because Rick Morrissey lives in fantasy land.
I'M A MAN! I'M 23!
True, but Laurence Holmes is a numb nuts anyway

There are people on the Score I despise
Laurence isn’t one of them. Laurence has decent thoughts most of the time, which is more than I can say for some of em (Exhibit A: Matt Spiegel).

The Daily Herald article on Knox is one of the things that has always bothered me about this coaching staff.
Lovie and his crew don’t seem to develop young guys very well or even give them a chance unless they are high draft picks. Remember Zach Bowman last year? He was inactive for half of the season until injuries and terrible secondary play forced them to put him into the lineup and in his first game he was all-world. Unfortunately, he got hurt during that game, but the point is I have no confidence in their ability to develop players who are drafted after the 3rd or 4th round. They get too hung up on “their guys” at the expense of getting players like Knox the snaps they need to show what they can do.
total Nonsense
Marcus Harrison-3rd round pick
Israel Idonije- undrafted free agent.
Lance Briggs-third round
Nathan Vasher-4th round
Bernard Berrian-3rd round
Kyle Orton- 4th round
Earl Bennett-3rd round
Kevin Payne- 5th round
Mark Anderson-5th round
Bowman was inactive for the most part of last year because he had tender knees after surgery. If anything Lovie’s track record has been better with developing late round draft picks

Look at my statement and then look at your list
I said “after the 3rd or 4th round” and all but two of the players you named are from the 3rd and 4th rounds…….
Also, Orton was ignored until Grossman went down and Hutchison proved he sucked and then they would never commit to him because Rex was the savior. Bennett was ignored last year because he was used at too many WR positions and couldn’t learn them, so we wasted an entire season with Marty Booker and Brandon Lloyd rather than develop a kid who now is one of the training camp sensations. I’m not convinced that he would be getting the chance now if it wasn’t for Cutler’s endorsement, so Lovie/Turner would have looked like complete jerks if they didn’t move him up.
I’ll give you Payne and Anderson, but even at that, they didn’t “develop” Anderson, in my opinion, they just let him use his one spin move and then handed him a job over a Pro Bowl alternate and it proved to be a mess. One of the things that has been written about Mark Anderson this year is that he needs to learn more than one technique if he is going to be effective. Marinelli is working on that now. Again, lack of development under Lovie and his staff.
they didn’t "develop" Anderson, in my opinion, they just let him use his one spin move
You’re an idiot.

yep
pass rush specialist who has disappeared since 06. one impressive year followed by two nonexistent isn’t a sign of devlopment. its a sign of a guy who is naturally athletic and the league adjusted.
that list doesn’t disprove anything he said.

I don't believe it is as bad as you think. Examples: Chris Harris, Mark Anderson
Those were late round guys that got PT right away.
I haven’t heard anything from camp that would warrant putting Iglesias in over Rideau. Which is what the article suggested.
Now Knox, is a different story (which was also suggested in the article). Turner should be getting that guy on the field as much as possible. Though I don’t know that it’s Rideau, that Knox should be in front of as much as Davis.
Depth chart reading like this:
WR#1- Hester, Knox, Davis
WR#2- Bennett, Rideau, Iglesias
I agree with you on the WR chart
but look what they ended up doing with Harris, although your point is well taken regarding his playing time. Anderson, (look at my reply to ifuwanna) I don’t feel they have really done a good job with his development.
Hey,
I could throw up right now, regarding Harris :-( And I understand your point on development….
With Rivera, we were developing talent. After Rivera, not so much.
Lovie is ultimately responsible, though Babich and company certainly share in the blame…
Bottom line, Lovie made some positive changes on the coaching staff and I will critique this (partially) new staff accordingly.
It's hard to tell...
he rarely has his head out of Angelo’s a$$ long enough to see what he looks like!
Rashied Davis
Tom Waddle on the Waddle & Silvy show just said that the best overall wide receiver he saw yesterday was Rashied Davis.
I just puked in my mouth.
I don't believe you
I need proof. There’s no way that’s true.

the podcast i heard
had one of the guys saying he told rasheid to bring a butterfly net with him when he goes on the field!!!
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.
Re: Rashied Davis
He even mentioned that nobody is going to like to hear this…
I have lost all respect for Waddle as a football analyst.
I hope they let Melton
Return kicks even if just for the preseason. I would love to watch a 255 lbs return man bowl over defenders.

Has anyone said anything about him running down on kick coverage?
Izzy has done a real good job of that the last few years and I wouldn’t mind seeing another big guy blowing up the blocking schemes on kick returns.
Would make sense.
Seeing now they can’t use the “4 man wedge”. Why not throw a few big bodies out there to blow some people up.

Who Is #70
I was watching a video of D-Line drills. There was a guy wearing 70 who was moving really well. On the Bears team site no one is listed with that number. Who is it?
