Si predicts Bears Pats Superbowl

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/09/01/main/index.html?eref=sihpT1

Looks like we are in for an exciting season according to the latest SI prediction. I find it odd that they have the VIkes, Packers, and the Bears all making it, and the Bears facing their division rivals to advance to the super bowl. But they have a rematch of the 85 Super Bowl with the Pats getting their revenge this time. Does this look realistic? What do you think?

Can't help but to feel. . .

. . . jinxed by the prediction. Ehck. I wish they had taken a big gulp of the Vikings/Favre Kool-Aid instead of attempting to give us the kiss of death

Last year

Last year Eagles were picked and they came awfully close

It's okay.

Yahoo gave the Vikes the kiss of death. It’ll cancel out.

When you go to somebody's house, you don't crap on their floor. Being a fan of one team does NOT give you license to be a dick to fans of another.

Corollary: When people are visiting your house and behaving themselves, them being a fan of a different team is NOT a reason for you to piss in their beer.

realistic?

Sure, except the Bears win again.

I'm praying for a Bears/ Texans super bowl!

With both Schaub and the other guy out, it would be Grossman v. the Bears!!!

hahahaha. . .

. . . TurnoverSaurus Rex. I miss that guy. We should have kept him on our roster, just for comedic purposes

I miss Sexy Rexy

He was the shit. So entertaining, as long as he isn’t playing for your team. Good thing Reliant stadium is only 10 min away!

Sounds like SI

is using a dart board to make predictions. I think we’ll make the playoffs, but I don’t know if we have a superbowl run in us this year. I could be wrong though and if I am I’m perfecty fine with it. Pats and Bears in the superbowl…. Pats can’t win… ever.

Take that back right now!

WHEN we make the playoffs, we most certainly have a playoff run in us. thats why we made it in the first place, because we belong… unlike the Vikings… whoops

Take what back?

I said superbowl run, we can win a playoff game I just don’t know if we’ll be in the super bowl. Next year or the year after with some good acquisitions we’re looking at dynasty talk. :)

Wow!

The only thing that scares me about that prediction is Sports Illistrated is usually full of crap on their pre season picks. I could see it happening. Like I previously stated, a lot of it depends on whether or not we face key injuries to our starting personal. It will ultimetely come down to our Defense. We have the componants in place for a high octane offense. If our Defense is not routinely shredded by opposing teams Quarterbacks then yes! We go to the show.

Maybe I Can See This One Live

I was stuck in the field listining to the game on a radio when I was in the Marines. I have been waiting for over 20 years to see them live winning a Superbowl. I came close in 2006. Thank you Rex Grossman, you loser!

by Gesiakob on Sep 2, 2009 1:27 PM CDT up reply actions

Hey how bout you blame the run defense who gave up over 200 yards on the ground..........

Not to open up old wounds but we knew if Grossman had to win us the game in the 4th it wasnt going to happen. As far as Im concerned it was our highly taunted run defense that let us down. Not to mention the 12 other catches Addai had on our D, those running backs tore us a new one.

Yes But

The only reason we made it to the Superbowl was our special teams and defense. Not because of Rex Grossman. In spite of him we made it.

by Gesiakob on Sep 3, 2009 8:26 AM CDT up reply actions

Oh so that pass to Davis in the slot right up the gut in overtime against Seattle

Must have been thrown by Urlacher I guess. Hey the fact that he even orchestrated a couple of wins in the playoffs should of been incentive enough for the defense to bring it home.

Bears-Pats?

Both teams have as good a chance of making the big game as anyone else and better than most.
