Fan Ballot for HOF-Vote for Richard Dent
I think the stats bear (no pun intended) out. Dent has been robbed of the Hall of Fame for far too long!
It is time for the voice of Grabowskis everywhere to be heard, and let us rally around the Super Bowl MVP who deserves to be placed in Canton.
Go to the following site http://www.fanschoice.com/ and vote for Dent. He is currently number 7 in voting.
It's an annoying site and they make sure that we know the Hall Committee has the final say, but they can't ignore us if enough for a man who truly deserves to be inducted.
Click the link and vote!!! Get Dent his bust!!!
Also, if this has been posted somewhere else, I apologize

Straight Bears ticket: Dent, McMichael, Covert and Hilgenburg :)

I don't know about "next", but I do agree that he deserves consideration.
Just curious, for those of you who were actually around and could really appreciate the Bear teams of the mid-80’s, did you think Lawrence Taylor was that special? I didn’t and I think it’s because when we played the Giants, he never did anything extraordinary against the Bears and the guy he was usually up against was Jimbo Covert. I remember thinking “what was all the hype about, our LB’s were better than he was”, this was another ESPN-NYC biased-MNF creation".
I’m not saying LT wasn’t a great player, but Covert handled him virtually every chance he had. He was, in my opinion, second only to Anthony Munoz as a Tackle during that era.
I think the whole L.T thing
was just more about how he redefined the linebacker position. He turned the outside linebacker position into potentially the most dominant pass rusher position on the defense. So i think it was more of a pioneer and just number of sacks thing. At the time he led the NFL for many years until Reggie White finally broke it in the mid 90’s. I didnt google any stats but i’m fairly sure that’s accurate..feel free to correct me if not.

As one who was around then
I find it amazing and shocking that someone would suggest LT was not all that special.
I always turn to the sports section first. The sports page records people's accomplishments; the front page has nothing but man's failures.

If people are actually serious about tryin to get johnson and lebeau
in the HOF in the next few years for their d schemes i would think that Shaughnessy would be talked about more often. I mean that guy changed the game with his version of the T-formation. Got us 4 championships in 6 years (40’s) and of course the most lopsided win and most points scored in any game the nfl has played in the 1940 championship game win over the redskins 73-0. Walsh’s west coast didnt score like that.
Richard Dent won't get in this time
Actually, I’m on the fence whether he is Hall of Fame material. I think he will eventually get into the Hall, but it make take another 7 or 8 years before that happens.

WTF?
Dude, put the crack pipe down and slowly back away

Hmm
Curious why you are on the fence. What are your reasons for thinking he shouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame?
Ignorance has no reason

Voting as we speak
Richard Dent belonged there over Derrick Thomas in my opinion. True it was a tragedy what happened to Thomas and i am not taking that away from him at all, but Dent belongs in there…and not in 8 years..right now.
