The Game Did Not Go As Planned.

I really thought Forte might have a bigger day. I never anticipated Garrett Wolfe running 3 plays in a row for a 3 and out. That was kind of absurd, especially on third and 1. I will say in my defense that the Seattle Offensive line got away with at least 3 holds today when we were going to sack Seneca Wallace. Last time I knew you cannot tackle a defensine linemen that is in pursuit of sacking the QB. I loved the game today but our inability to run the ball is going to come back to haunt us.

Much like Reed and Mare the last two weeks, you're missing easy points!

It's Just A Fun Thing I Do Smudgers.

I certainly don’t expect all of my predictions to come true. I certainly welcome you Smudgers to make prediction. Then I will sit here post game and make fun of you because I’m bored. I find it kind of pathetic if you know what I mean.

by Gesiakob on Sep 28, 2009 2:44 PM CDT up reply actions

Fair enough, I predict...

1. Cutler will have a good game.
2. Forte will have a good game.
3. Olsen will have a good game.
4. Hester will have a good game.
5. Knox will have a good game.
6. Our defense will have a good game.

And here’s the kicker…
7. Someone on our defense will get a sack.

Bear’s have a total of 750 yards in total offense and Johnny Knox takes two kickoffs to the house – prediction making is fun! How’s that for you?

Smudgers Is Just Upset

That Sackman received a promotion and he was overlooked with his cartoons…………lol

by Gesiakob on Sep 29, 2009 9:34 AM CDT up reply actions

Actually...

I’ve been pushing for you to get a title as the WCG ball boy? Interested, apply HERE!

I’m upset? Sackman has an amazing talent! I’m stoked for him and thoroughly enjoy reading his well though-out and researched blogs as well as having intelligent back and forth with him. I would like to think that I have a talent in my ability to get around graphics programs, which I make a living at doing. What I do here, is simply for fun and for blowing off the monotony of the standard work week.

The thing you do – not a talent at all, you make predictions. And you make so many of them (all about players having great games) that some of them are bound to come true. Excuse me if I don’t bow down to your greatness.

No

I make predictions that are positive because I am an optimist when it comes to this team. Each weak going into the games I make predictions that play to the strengths of our team.

by Gesiakob on Sep 29, 2009 10:10 PM CDT up reply actions

Optimism aside...

Forte having 100+ yards in a game. Cutler having a 300 yard game. Olsen having a 100 yard game. Knox and Hester each having a TD.

Come on! These are safe, blanket predictions… at best. Take some time and put real thought into it before you put it down on e-paper, much like the aforementioned SackMan does with his post and I try to do with the majority of my “cartoons.”

Anyone can post (predict) these safe projections you come up with. I guess I’d be more interested in understanding your “why factor” on your predictions. Why is Olsen going to have a breakout game (Seattle’s Injuries to their LB’s, Desmond Clark being out, QB/TE chemistry finally clicking, etc). A bit like you did with your #1 on why Seattle would be held to 10 points. You got that one wrong, but that was the prediction I respected the most.

I’d also be more likely to “not make fun” if there was a little less “perfect game” happening. I let the wifey read this and her response was in the form of “Wow. That would be amazing!” She also called me an arse because of my responses to you, but I didn’t hear any of that nonsense. ;)

Just some friendly advice, take it or leave it. And keep in mind that I may be way off on this, people may love these posts as they are. Bear down!

That's Fair.

You called me out smudgers as I was short on time and just threw out a quickie. I will break down this weeks game in greater detail. My cup overflows with optimism facing a Detroit team poised for an emotional letdown after their first win since the 2007 season.

A Question lookingdeadred?

Has anybody ever asked you why your so negative all the time? I mean I’m okay with the statement that you will not read any of my post. It just seems whenever you post it’s a knock on somebody else. So I’m thinking why would anybody want to read anything you say if you just troll the boards to look to put people down all the time?

I have been swamped at work lately and haven’t been here a lot but its good to see that somethings never change.

I predict Bennett has better numbers at the end of the year than Knox. I love what Knox is doing and really giving our offense another dimension. However Bennett is still getting more targets and I want to see DA come back and play red zones instead of Knox. I think we need to start running Knox on end arounds.

by brands735 on Sep 30, 2009 11:39 AM CDT reply actions

I Have To Disagree On That One brands735

Know is becoming ‘Prime Time’. He is making game changing plays every week. It’s ironic that we are getting this much millage out of him when he was the pick Denver mailed to us in the Orton / Cutler trade. I look forward to DA coming back as well but hope to see Knox development keep rising.

by Gesiakob on Sep 30, 2009 2:24 PM CDT up reply actions

I still think Knox is going to contribute, but I doubt he will surpass Bennett on 2 WR sets and therefore Easy E will have more opportunities to build up experience/stats. Bennett is getting open a lot considering these are his first 3 games.

by brands735 on Sep 30, 2009 3:05 PM CDT up reply actions

Yes

I knew Bennett was going to become a Cutler favorite. I think if Orton was still with the bears Bennett would have eventually been phased out.
