I know there are some big Giordano's fans around here... and I'm not talkin about the pizza.
The Colts claimed rookie linebacker Cody Glenn off waivers from the Washington Redskins, and in turn, waived fifth-year veteran safety Matt Giordano.
Giordano, a former fourth-round draft choice by the Colts in 2005, started six of 55 career games in his four seasons with the club and totaled 78 defensive tackles. He had three interceptions, one of which he returned 83 yards for a touchdown in the 2007 season opener vs. New Orleans. Giordano also had 34 special teams tackles.
Let's see if the Bears had Giordano on the radar at all this offseason... now's their chance to add him. I'd say bye-bye to Craig Steltz in a second for Giordano.
