Gaines Adams dead
Somebody please tell me this story is wrong. If not...wow. Apparently he died this morning in South Carolina. Tragic turn of events. No idea what actually happened, but this is just terrible news on so many fronts. This has got to be as bad an offseason as I can remember. I was really hoping, with an offseason with Marinelli, Adams would finally realize his potential this coming season and be our starting DE. So much for that. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Cardiac arrest due to enlarged heart.
that is just crazy. I know that there was quite a few jokes on here about us picking him up, myself included, but i really was looking forward to seeing what he could do next season. My prayers and thoughts go out to his entire family. RIP, Gaines Adams.
I will trade you three pretzel's, two bologna sandwiches, and one Lovie Smith for your pudding.

It will be interesting to find out why he had an enlarged heart

He admitted
to smoking marijuana in college. So that could have something to do with it.
I was hoping he and Gilbert would be our starting defensive ends. Oh, well, RIP Gaines Adams.
The only time the Mets win is in the offseason.
Regarding a marijuana causal connection,
in a word, NO.

Pardon, my previous post should have been a reply to GouldisGould
