Offensive Coordinator Open Thread

Pompeii & Biggs say the Bears will interview Chargers assistant head coach/tight ends coach Rob Chudzinski in the next 24 hours.

Jedd Fisch, possible QB coach here, was hired by Seattle as their QB coach.

Raiders reached out to Jim Harbaugh, but were rejected.  They are talking to Jim Fassel.

Think we can trade them Lovie?

For the waterboy, yard marker, end zone pylon or something

by TheMan1 on Jan 20, 2010 2:56 PM CST up reply actions

Al is also very cheap

so he would never hire an expensive big name coach. I wonder why Martz or Fossil don’t get intereviewed for the Bears job. Both are good with QB’s. I hope Jim Harbaugh comes back to us!

Seattles O is looking to be pretty good in coaching at least

Bates and now Fisch

Can’t say much about Carroll’s pro career though

hue jackson to interview with oakland as well

Link………

heard on the radio and CTL that the Bears were also interested in jackson as OC…..Though they have yet to interview him I guess….

Never mind Biggs says other wise I guess
Fisch was never a potential candidate for the OC job. Hue Jackson also was/is not on Bears radar.

“jackson off Bears radar” …….

What ever that means….

Sadly, I predicted this holdout would happen.

The Bears just act like everything is fine, yet they can’t find an OC or DC. I just knew they would find a way to screw this up. Perry Fewell was available, and they couldn’t get him. Same with Wies, Bates, and Nolan. This team will never succeed until we get a new president, GM, and head coach. They suck!

The only time the Mets win is in the offseason.

"Find a way to screw this up?'

Ha! They screwed it up before the search even began. LOL.

Chudz would be acceptable...

And I don’t understand why Jim Fassel isn’t already coaching in the NFL again. Very good coach, and a heckuva lot better than a list of guys who hold jobs in the NFL.

he has got to be the guy

I’m not aginst Martz at all, but this guys might be able to last longer as he doesn’t seem to be a huge jerk.

I would be OK with this hiring.

A guy that takes Derek Anderson to places he’ll never be again and is involved in the Charger’s high powered O sounds like a pretty good candidate to me.

agree

chud sounds good vertical passing game and power running.. but the bears will have to draft or coach up that line and get a power back forte isnt one.. bell the verdict is still out on but it may work.. cut wolfe and peterson and go out and get a free agent back chargers offense was pretty good!!

maybe L.T. likes the CHUD

So when the chargers cut him, he will wanna come here.

he's available

But he got booted before the season ever started by the Bucs. That might be a reason to stay away but he’s got a nice resume.

by boondock_saint812 on Jan 20, 2010 7:02 PM CST up reply actions

I didn't get much past the bad stuff, ya know Bucs and fired before the season.

I saw that he had twenty plus years of coaching. I thought ifuwanna was joking, but maybe i should take another look.

It will be interesting..

to see if they put an offer on the table for Chud or wait until Indy is done to interview Christensen. With the way things are going hiring coordinators, it’s kind of a catch 22 right now. I would like to see them interview Christensen eventhough that could be a little over two weeks away if Indy wins this weekend. From what i have read, he has become my favorite candidate who is still possibly available. On the other hand, I like Chud and think he would be a real solid OC for us. I guess when it comes down to it, I could see our organization try to excercise patience and lose out on both. This site would be jumpin then!!

There's shampoo for that.
