With no CBA:

Yup...

more on the “final 8” rule, and more. From Pat Kirwan (nfl.com)

The rule will restrict the final eight teams in the playoffs from signing free agents. The final four teams shall not be permitted to negotiate and sign any unrestricted free agent to a player contract except for players who acquired their status by being cut or were on the final four team when their contract expired. Playoff teams five thru eight get a break to sign one player with a salary of $4,925,000 or more and any number of players with a first-year salary of no more than $3,275,000 and an annual increase of no more than 30 percent in the following years.

There is a mechanism to permit the final eight teams to sign an unrestricted free agent for each one of their own unrestricted free agents who sign with another club as long as they don’t spend more than what their own lost player received from his new club.

Basically,

they penalize teams for doing well. There’s even harsher restrictions and limits to teams reaching the conference championship round (final four) of the playoffs.

The point is:

Posting with a zealot-like behavior with ignorance of easily referenced facts can be considered a form of trolling. If you’ve got statements to make, please back them up. Especially if it’s the “Nobody believed in us!” when the majority of the people are picking you to win.

When you go to somebody's house, you don't crap on their floor. Being a fan of one team does NOT give you license to be a dick to fans of another.

Corollary: When people are visiting your house and behaving themselves, them being a fan of a different team is NOT a reason for you to piss in their beer.

I didnt say no one was talking about Dallas

I said it was aamzing how little respect people were giving them. I have a valid point had Philly swept Dallas everyone and there mother would have picked Philly. However there were a good number of people who picked Philly to win this week. Go to Sportingnews page the majority of the experts picked Philly. I know espn went crazy for Dallas. Also many of the writers who gave their predictions for the playoffs on cnnsi went for philly also, That was my point Robert.

But they are giving them respect.

Of the sources cited:

CNN/SI had 7/10 writers pick Dallas over Philly.

Sporting News had a slim majority, with 3/7 picking Dallas over Philly,

And ESPN had overwhelming support for Dallas with 8/9 picking Dallas while the fan polls picked Philly to win. (I’m not really counting that one though.)

All that said, 18 of 26 “experts” or 69% picked Dallas to win, With a nearly 40% difference in perspective, I consider that to be overwhelming support.

With all of the games played this week, only one game has a higher difference, and that is GB vs ARI game where 23 “experts” (88%) from the above sites have picked GB to win.

The “reply” button doesn’t not work the same at WCG as it does the other sbnation blogs you always frequent.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...."
