Game Ball of the Week: Johnny Knox
This week's game ball came down to Devin Hester or Johnny Knox. It will go to Johnny Knox.
After a long, spirited discussion (read: Dane and I chatted briefly about it) we decided that while Hester did have the record-tying punt return to keep the Bears in it late, it was truly the breakout performance by Mr. Knox that deserves the game ball. What did he do, you ask?
5 receptions for 120 yards. For those who don't like to look things up, in 2009 he had 527 yards receiving. Total.
So kudos to you, J. Knox, and may you continue to make those strides and sometime get them to the end zone.
Leave your honorable mentions below, ladies and gents.

Agreed
Hopefully, our friend Mr. Knox will find oppurtunity knocking this Sunday…
any1 think he’ll have his 4th career-high-setting game this weekend?
Cutler should be able to have a helluva game…knox benefits most:
115-125 yds, 1 td (thts for knox, not cutler)
Tough call.
Knox had a great game and Hester raised our hopes, if but briefly, when all looked lost.
knox could have had a TD and about 50+ more yards
Cutler send a deep one to knox. It was undertrown. But it was tiped and fell down right infront of knox. Not knox fault because he was loking up. But if he had a little more experience and more concentration he would have made the catch. It was like 4 yards from the endzone and could have walked in. that was also a missed assingment because there were 2 wr running the same rout.
Imagine. 6 receptions for 170 yards and a TD. — beast (it was a bad pass defense but still)
"Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence. In other words, it is war minus the shooting." - George Orwell
I didn't realize Knox had such a great game.

wrecked for sheer wreckability
If you can't laugh at yourself you must not be very funny.
I remain a pessimistically hopeful Bears fan.
