MAN, MAN, MAN! We gotta get back on track this week! This is a big game for us, and we don’t want to go into our bye week with a loss on our shoulders.
This week, it’s the Washington Redskins who are coming into town, and Mike Shanahan has really got them coached-up. They have a good team who’s VERY physical. So what do we do to combat that? ...We bring our monstrous brand of physicality to the field and just - straight-up - outhit them.
Not only are the Skins hard-hitters, but they’ve got a lot of other strengths, too. For instance, they seem to have established their running game over the course of the past couple weeks. Because of this improvement, we’re going to have to limit that aspect of their game by shutting it down so they’re not as effective with their play action.
Then you have Donovan McNabb over there who hasn’t lost a step -- He’s still one of the elite quarterbacks in the league. We’re going to have to be aware of his very, very live arm to prevent him from getting any plays past us.
Our front-four absolutely has to get off the ball and cause some havoc. Turnovers are a must-have for this game, and everyone of our play-makers have gotta get back to taking the ball away so we can give our offense as many possessions as we possibly can. If all of us do our jobs how we’re supposed to do them, this should be a good, fun game. All of us are ready to BEAR DOWN and get going, because we really need this one. LET’S GET IT!
