Washington Redskins @ Chicago Bears | That Hurt A LOT

Man, man, man -- This loss is definitely a tough pill to swallow.
I don’t even know where to start with this recap... I truly felt we had a chance to win the ball game - that’s why this is so frustrating. Going into our bye-week we had a chance to be sitting in first place in the NFC with a 5-2 record, but instead we’re 4-3. Sure, we’re still ahead of our division, but - man - a win against Washington could have given us some good separation and momentum going into the bye-week.
Defensively, I felt we played a pretty good game. In the first half, we held Donovan McNabb to one touchdown, and 10 points, overall. As for the second half, we pretty much shut them down and didn’t give them anything. It was the turnovers we gave up that were so hard to overcome.
Speaking of turnovers... We were able to get three, which is good. However, it was unfortunate that there was a delay of game on D.J. Moore’s second interception. That play would have resulted in a touchdown and given us a good lead, but we can’t cry about it now. I’m just glad we have D.J.’s performance to talk about, because his great game gives me something positive to talk about in this recap.
All in all, this game was just straight-up ROUGH and hurts A LOT. Thankfully, though, we’re going to bounce back. We’ve got two weeks to sit here and think about things. After all the reflection and practices we’re going to go through, we’ll come back refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready for the second half of the season. So bear with us and BEAR DOWN, alright? We got this...

Chris
The defense has been playing extremely well, keeping opponents under an iron thumb, but to win, there needs to be some production from the offense.
Are there any uneasy feelings in the locker room right now, between the D and the O?
I think the offense was robbed of a TD yesterday by a non-challenge, and the D was robbed of another by a proceedure penalty.
There is no effing way
He would ever answer this question and say “Yeah, we hate them.” Even if they did. Which I don’t think they do.
If I did what I love for a living, what would I do in my free time?

Yeah
Washington caught a lot of lucky breaks this game, but that doesn’t matter now all we can hope is that the offense continues to gel during the bye week.

WILDCARD BITCHES!!! YEEEEHHHAAAAA!!!!!

I don’t think anyone would be mad if the offense came out to the parking lot and found all the air let out of their tires…i’m just sayin’

Just make sure you get one tire on each side...
because BALANCE is the most powerful force in the universe, at least according to the beat writers and many fans.

Can you play offense
Think about it
Manning is a pretty hard runner, you could lay out some defenders for him as a Fb, IZZY would be great no matter where you put him, same with Peppers, it would be unstoppable.
"We got this"
That right there earned you a star player upgrade and new long term contract in Madden.

Lol
At least virtually he’s good to go long term and as we all know Madden is just about as real as it gets.

not sure if u were being sarcasm...
i will assume you were, but consider how much time, $ and research goes in to making the NFL simulation called “Madden” so wildly successful every year and maybe you see that at the very least it is a very good tool for simulating anything NFL. In addition, player rankings are rarely off by much anymore, especially with online updates.
Call me when the Bears go 19-0.
I mean, I simulated it, it must be true!

Saw you helping McNabb up after knocking him down on a blitz midway through the second quarter. Always pleasing to see Bears being classy!

That was my first game at Soldier Field
It would have been awesome if they could have won. It was still pretty good day overall. We met George McCaskey!

I hate the rain. Rain falls in this world, too. When your heart is in chaos, the sky becomes clouded. When you are sad, rain falls so terribly easily. Can you understand, the horror of being pelted by rain in this solitary world? If only to stop that rain, I shall lend you any strength. If you trust in me, I will let no rain fall in this world, trust me. You are not fighting alone.
