First!

Go jets and patriots, one of the few times that I’m rooting for the latter. The good news is that the bears won’t lose a game this week.

Ho-hum games so far

Does anyone know if the Niners get most of the revenue from their “home” game in London? That would suck for the franchise, season ticket holders, and general fans.

Did

you know, that from what I understand, Lovie gave the team a 3 day weekend….Heard that on CTL…..Was like ok….granted dont know what players are doing during that 3 day break but the fact that Lovie gave them 3 days (especially the offense) is just argh….

Also Tice went to Lovie and said this is not what I signed up for (ie pass heavy offense) and thought that He and Martz were to far apart on offensive schemes / philosophy….That was mentioned on the score….Nice eh?

The first part, yes.

That’s typical during a bye week, but the second part is very alarming. Some pundits predicted it may become a problem cause it curbs the development of the Bears very young O-line. It’s also no secret that Lovie has been horrible managing and picking his assistants.

Jets have to win this game!

GB will be in first place if they win this game (Obviously). Why are we so negative about the game next week against buffalo. We are good team, not great but, good. If we shore up a couple of things on offense we will be fine. Our defense will keep us in the game as long as the offense puts up 17 plus points a game. That is not asking the offense to do too much.

ortons

deep ball has been pretty good so far this year from the games I do catch of him….orton and lloyd still have that chemistry that they created when they were in Chicago…Still looks for the bail out to often though….But dont know if its him or mickeyD’s playcalling TBH….Plus orton is still a statue in the pocket and goes down a tad easy at times….Not only would orton be dead here but the sacks would be in the 50+ range going into the bye week IMO….

It's a strange situation

He’s got loads of talent on offense, but they can’t seem to put it all together. They have a top-5 RB, top-2 TE, a highly talented young WR, and a stacked O-line with first-round draft picks.

That’s why QB is the most important position on the field.

Receivers!

Bottom line, our WR are the type that has to get the ball passed to them perfectly without any impeding by the defense. They do not go up and fight for the ball and they shy away from contact. Too many times they allow the defense to jump their route or direct them off their route. The O-line is another discussion.

Sexy turnover = typical bears move

for those of you who didn’t see it, make sure you watch sportscenter or find the play on youtube, it is worth it. Skins needed a TD to win and with ~1:45 to go put in sexy for no apparent reason (McNabb didn’t appear to be hurt). Announcers chatting it up on how sexy knows the offense better then mccabb. As sexy dropped back he was hit while trying to throw causing a fumble and a TD by suh. Even though Suh was being an asshat by celebrating on the 5 he still got in. Play upheld on the review.

You can’t tell me that that wasnt a scripted bears collapse. was nice to see one happen to another team.

No it wasn't. Know why?

Because Lovie challenged the first one because of the team’s failure to score at the goal line. So what happens on the next play? Cutler fumbles. So Lovie was actually validated for challenging the first one because his team does suck at the goaline and Cutler proved it by fumbling.

Yeah but it worked!

I don’t care how much you don’t like opposing players. Cheering for injuries is low class.

I'm self-imposing a ban on ever visiting the Vikes site

again, I mean; as much as I enjoy reveling in their misery (silently, I have no desire to even join over there so that I could comment) that enjoyment is usually overridden by their ref blaming and self-righteous craziness. The site manager is up and arms about people booing Favre as he got carted off the field to which I say “Big Fucking Deal”; site manager is telling everyone he’ll ban them for saying anything about enjoying seeing Favre leave the field, blah blah blah.
