Given that before he came to Chicago, that was his job.
If there’s a news story there, it would be negligent of him to not use his contacts.
Though from that article, I thought the most telling part was Chester Taylor’s reaction. I’d also love to hear from Darren Sharper and Marcus Robinson on that.

Just sick of hearing of the Vikings
from any source, and it seems Mr. Jensen has jumped at this opportunity to continue to write about them despite no longer being employed in that area.
Jensen, just like any other beat writers,
will provide coverage for anything that affects the Bears or the NFC North. The good thing about these artlcles… you don’t have to “hear about them” if you don’t like; just close the browser window and move on.
Jensen is a welcome change
over the many writers we have suffered over the past 40 years.
And, he has been good to this community.

Being better
Than a turd, doesn’t make you good. If Rick morrissey interacted on WCG, would you think he was good?

Didn't Morrissey get punted off WCG?

Nah, we brought him back.
As much as people despise him, the guy is a telented writer, and gives us plenty to argue about.

I do enjoy most of Jensen's articles
I’m just sick of the constant giant spotlight on the Vikings. The NFL will be much better off without Lord Favre.
by jimribs on Nov 23, 2010 1:14 PM CST via mobile up reply actions
I like Jensen
He doesn’t write about the Bears with a whole lot of enthusiasm (unlike a guy like Mullin), but he doesn’t have the customary snark that most Bears writers are poisoned with (I don’t care how talented a writer Morrissey is – he’s a douche and I don’t like reading his crap). Jensen seems to have fairly objective and reasonable analysis of the Bears.

I'm pretty sure a turd would be
a welcome change over Morrissey

Watching Philip Rivers last night was flat out awesome...
He’s Dan Marino. And he’s got a bunch of nobodys to throw to. The guy is friggin incredible. When Peyton Manning fades away, the NFL will be all about Rivers.

he is awesome
and he looked even better playing against a subpar team in denver.
glad he is in a different conference than the bears however.

Boggling is right
Rivers’ elbow seems to move just 45 degrees and yet the ball comes out of his hands like it was shot out of a cannon. Very impressive.
No kidding
looks like hes throwing it shot put style……but hey it works…..

Watching Phillip Rivers shot-put the football downfield is weird. Wouldn’t expect such velocity from shortened throwing motion.
Great minds and such…
Rivers needs to have playoff success before he gets his due

I watched the game about 1 hour late on DVR...
so i couldn’t tune in the game on the internet radio broadcast. It was so bad that I turned off the sound and and tuned in a Xmas music station. Nothing funnier than Peppers destruction of the Miami O-line set to “Rockin Around the Christmas Tree”!!!!

Worse announce team
ever assembled…..papa sounds like he is dead, thiesmen always brings the game back himself or when he played, and millen ugh……
I was stunned when millen was praising marinilli for being a great coach then laughed when papa replied ya he was your coach in detroit (thought oh damn no he didnt) awkward silence for 3 seconds before theismen pointed out the mia QB coach……
Like I said in one of the post game threads who ever assembled this announce team should be kicked in the groin repeatedly…….

Yes, a genius article it is
Remembering the 90’s and watching/listening to the games Millen was assigned, was always excruciating. Even as a teenager he seemed like an idiot. Naming the wrong players, missing calls, and the way he critiques, is abrasive to the point of making the viewer feel uncomfortable.
When Millen got the Detroit job I was so happy for two reasons; One, I figured he would drive the Lions franchise into the ground (he did). Two, I wouldn’t have to listen to his dumb ass call NFL games anymore.
Then when he was finally fired in Detriot for being possibly the worst GM in NFL sports history. I held onto the hope that the TV networks wouldn’t give this guy the time of day… You know, because he’s the worst. But lo & behold, the worst football analyst that I can remember in my life gets work on three different networks!!!
And yes Coach Wiltfong, It’s sad when anyone can make Thiesman sound good. At least Millen’s good for somethin’.
I think my favorite comment during the game
“Look at this great block Greg Olsen makes, sealing the outside edge.”
Replay begins: Olsen runs into a lineman, the running back is way out in front of him and Olsen flails an arm at a defender.
After reading that article, I mentioned to Doug that there is a fine line between
driving traffic with controversy, versus driving away traffic due to providing a sub-par product.
You’d think that after his homophobic comments towards Johnny Morton and his ethnic slur towards Ron Jaworski, he’d never be able to find work again… he’s not controversial, he’s just plain ignorant.
Oh, and the latest asinine behavior: He talks to Steve Young like he’s an idiot, to which Young can’t help but laugh in response.
How does that guy still have a job!

Pompei article on Izzy was an enjoyable read
So glad for Izzy finally settling into a spot and beginning to reach his full potential. DMS is not easily overcome.
Also, I enjoyed the Hayes article featuring Omiyale, on Chris Williams. DMS is not easily overcome.
Izzy is too awesome to succomb to DMS
He would succeed even if put in as Fullback, Slot receiver, or Strong Safety.

His comments are that Vick has been incredibly lucky with a lot of his poor decisions this season. His poor decision rate is far above Cutlers from one year ago.

gotta follow the rules. Basically the gist is that Vick’s decision making this year has not been good but he has been fortunate when he has made poor decisions.

Nice article, Jim Miller praising Urlacher’s achievement of becoming the franchise all-time leader in tackles. Some interesting comments about their initial impressions of the big rookie, and apparently…
Just for the record, he could of done it as a safety too!
