Happy Thanksgiving WCG

Thanksgiving is a great time of the year to get together with family, eat a ton of food, sit back, relax, and then eat more food. One of the annual traditions that my family had growing up was to go around the table and share what we're thankful for. So, in the spirit of thanksgiving, and that this is the best damn Chicago Bears website on the effin' planet, I thought we should take a minute to do the same.

Follow me past the jump to read some of what I'm thankful for.

Star-divide

I'm thankful for 7-3, and for Calvin Johnson.

I'm thankful for Lovie Smith's passion and fire.

I'm thankful for Baby Gap for making clothes to fit Garrett Wolfe.

I'm thankful for Tommie's expiring contract.

I'm thankful for Justin Bieber, so that Kev H has music to fill up his iPod.

I'm thankful for all past, present, and future Brett Favre failures.

I'm thankful for Matt Jones' super-powers.

I'm thankful for Kam Chancellor.

And on a slightly more serious note:

I'm thankful for the '85 Bears, and especially for Ditka.

I'm thankful for George Halas. Walter Payton. Dick Butkus. And the 23 other Hall of Famers that are representing the Chicago Bears in Canton.

I'm thankful for being a fan of a team that has won nine League Championships.

I'm thankful for this great website, the extremely talented staff of writers (Just Dave excluded), and for all of the amazing members here who make it what it is. From the occasional-commenting charter posters (such as GG), to the people who post faster than most people type (Ditkavsworld). From the eternal optimist (DaHamsta) to the negative nancies (you "no" who you are).

I'm thankful for spouses and other family members that support our passions, share in our victories and remorse in our defeats. The ones that stay up late with us to watch Sunday night games, and yell at Lovie for throwing a challenge flag after calling a time out. The ones that openly mock random Packers fans on the street and the ones who don't mind being woken up by the giddy screams of a crazed lunatic after Hester proved we are who they thought we were.

To everyone here at WCG, and to each of your family members, I am thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I am thankful

that you live far enough away from me that I can’t drive over and slap you in the face.

If I did what I love for a living, what would I do in my free time?

baby baby baby

If you go in the bathroom, turn off the lights, and say "Da Coach" 5 times while facing the mirror... Ditka will appear and slap the wussy right out of you.

Hmmm...

I’m thankful for a family that loves me no matter how much I f&*k up/succeed in life, friends who always pick me up when I’m down and Da Chicago Bears, who always give me a better reason to get boozed, whether that reason be good or bad. :)

I'm thankful for

- the madness that is Randy Macho Man Savage
- the DVR so I can record and re-watch any Chris Harris “smack-downs” at my leisure
- Chris Williams’ ability to block a space (not necessarily with anyone in it)
- the mute button (comes in handy when Randy Cross is on the broadcast)
- Cheese Curds…the only good thing to ever come out of Green Bay
- names like Omiyale, Manumaleuna, Aromashodu, Idonije, Iwuh and Pisa Tinoisamoa! My wife thinks I’m either speaking in tongues or bought a copy of the Samoan Rosetta Stone
- my video of Walter Payton (a how to video on Intensity and Integrity)

I'm thankful for

-The shoutout you just gave me.
-The pride I take in my team so I venture out in Wisconsin in Bears merch and don’t mind the ridicule.
-This site for giving me a place to go and rant/rave/whatever else Da Bears.
-The fact that the people on this site aren’t a-holes like at other SBN sites I’ve posted on.
-Devin Hester and all the ways in which he is ridiculous.
-Jay Cutler for sucking a lot less this year.
-and of course, I’m very thankful for HB for putting up with me.

"I feel like the pieces are in place. But we have to execute...It's about execution. You have to execute. You have to have a scheme that facilitates the strengths of your players. If it doesn't, then it's a bad scheme. It's that simple. So we feel real good about the parts in place on offense."

"We feel very good about this football team. We felt very good about our football teams in the past and it's no different. You've got to go out there and you've got to do it."

Biggest thanks goes out

to Rod Marinelli for getting the defense back in order, and Tice for doing well with the reclamation project also known as the O-line.

Most of all, I’m thankful for all the glorious casseroles that make Thanksgiving dinner the best.

"He's a great candidate," Ryan said. "If I hadn't made him drop in coverage so often on running backs, he might be the all-time sack leader. They call it zone blitzing nowadays. We called it, 'Richard, pick him up.'" - Buddy Ryan on Richard Dent's HOF chances.

Happy Thanksgiving all my homies and homettes

It’s funny but you guys helped me with my 15 months in Iraq and still bring a smile to my face. So i guess I am thankful for all of you, for Bears fans all around the world, and of course..for Ditka.

We're more thankful for YOU brother! And all of the other soldiers.

Preciate the service. Dad was in the 82nd for 19 years I believe. Spent 6 months in Egypt and a year in Korea so I sort of know what it feels like to be away from your family. Hopefully you’re back for your good.

A common refrain: I'm thankful for good health!

The Bears have been uncommonly healthy this year, and that’s as big reason a reason as any that they’re 7-3. Let’s be thankful for that.

As a Packers fan,

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Bears fans a Happy Thanksgiving.

I didn't believe it last August, but it turns out that love survives.

the chicago bears, of course. just watching peppers play makes up for a lot of bad drafting and fa signing.

working 10+ hours later today which will fatten the paycheck nicely.

wcg, by far the best bears site available.
