today's game
I think the offense has to score about 24-27 today and I think our D will shut Vick down. 8-3, Let’s go Bears!!!
Matt Bryant

Random thought...
Mike Smith kinda reminds me of Howard Dean to the point that I expect him to go “And then we’ll go to Dallas and take back the Super Bowl! Yeeeeehaaa!!”
Don’t ask me why this thought came into my head.

apart from the fact that I hate Ramirez it did give them the push to the post season that year so Steve Bartman could become famous.

Inactives
The Bears’ offense caught another break Sunday with Eagles defensive end Juqua Parker, the team’s second-leading sack man, being declared out with a hip injury.
Parker has five sacks, right behind Trent Cole’s seven. The Bears also won’t have to contend with cornerback Asante Samuel, who didn’t make the trip after spraining his knee. Samuel leads the NFL with seven interceptions.
Parker will be replaced by rookie Brandon Graham, while Samuel will be replaced by Joselio Hanson.
No surprise inactives for the Bears: Craig Steltz, Joshua Moore, Kahlil Bell, Edwin Williams, Desmond Clark, Barry Turner, and Corey Wootton. Caleb Hanie is the third quarterback.

My only relief is him on the sidelines
He’s the one QB who could burn somebody AFTER being tackled.
Lovie strategy is
to make Vick a pocket passer and let his defense tackle him when he runs. Make him go 80 yards every drive. Make him prove he can go through progressions
Yeah but it worked!
Our D-line looks awesome.
Good penetration up the middle and contain on the outside. Nowhere for Vick to go. And while he’s running for his life he can’t look at receivers. Vick’s throwing his first pick today.
they look like they are on a mission
to prove the world wrong about the Bears being “over rated” and “unable to contain Vick”

Vick did what he had to do.
Put the biscuit in the basket.

if our pass rush
was consistently good i would be more excited about them having to pass all game, but i don’t like the idea of the eagles throwing a ton with a very mobile qb.
they can eat up drives all day if they want, the key is limiting them to field goals

checking in
Cutler looks great, forte looks great, torn-up field looks great…for now
This is going just how we want it. Giving up small chunks, then hold em to a FG.

freaking awesome tart today, keep it up bears
In an Ideal world I would have all ten fingers on my left hand so my right hand could just be a fist for punching.
The Eagles have adjusted.
They’re max protecting and looking for the holes in the cover 2. We may need to blitz here and there.
Gotta stop the run. MUST!

We're up 14-3...
But I still don’t feel any more comfortable. I feel like we’ll need a three-score lead before I start feeling better about this.

Yep, too many bad memories of collapse
this year to feel otherwise.
