Heck Yeah!
When I was younger jerseys used to be a great look for me. But now that I’m a bit older, the sweater vest is awesome. I don’t have to change after church, I just throw a Ditka vest over my button-down, and feel like Da Coach watching Da Bears. Nothin’ but class!

Remaining schedule
With what has happened this year in the NFL I really don’t see any easy wins or foreseen loses. This year especially seems to be anyones game. So here is to that team being the Bears. If they show up in the games as they have lately, I can see lots of wins.

Radio TV Notes
Jim Miller on the Score
- Surprised that danny mac now has Lovie Smith as a COTY candiate. Wondered if he called into the right show
- Miller does think the Lovie does deserve some consideration if they win out. D playing well and O coming around
- End of the day its about getting W’s
- Bears O attacked eagles weaknesses (back up CBs)
- 3 of the 4 TDs came off play action
- Thought Cutler had 2 bad throws (aka the almost INT NOTE: which I believe Cutler leads the NFL in according to Hub and Miller) But they didnt happen so Cutler had a good game. Did not have any real bad decisions
- McNeil didnt like the unsportsmanlike penalty. Thought it showed Cutlers immaturity
- That goes into Miller talking about how fans were getting on Cutler because he showed no emotion in games. So there it is emotion
- Thinks that showed Cutler cares about the games and stuck up for his team mate that also wanted the flag
- To him Cutler does NOT equal jeff george never understood that one
- Talks about the wildcat and how mich st did it to win their game
- Bears showed up when they had especially D
- Thinks they have played with a sense of purpose since the bye week
- Thought vick played well but Defense limited him
==============
Biggs on the Score
- Good that the Bears still have doubters
- Will be interesting to see how the Bears handle prosperity
- They are so good at underdog role that they can always find a way to use that
- If both teams win out then the final game will be for NFCN but thinks Bears have to win the NFCN before then because they could be on the outside looking in and miss playoffs with a 10 – 6 type record (likepat kirwin had them at)
- Bears are set up to win all their games if they can take care of business with det and minny. They can then just have to win 1 of the other 3 games and most likely make playoffs
- Not buying into nyjets as sanchez has had some questionable play even with the come from behind wins. Thinks green bay is to one dimensional and wonder how far they can go with that
- 10 -6 no playoffs = nothing to show for it other than Cutlers first winning season “whooptiy doo”
- Thinks Bears still need playoffs to protect the future of people in key postions
- Mully and Hanley hope its true but dont see that happening. 10 – 6 and no playoffs everyone stays they think
- Talk about running game. Some people will say well if they take out the long runs then the run game stinks but did not agree to much on that (think a shot at Hub who always says well if you take out this play or that run Bears lose or so and so had a bad game)
- Finds it interesting that Forte never had this many long runs till this season
- Run game still needs to get better still to many runs for minus yards
============
ESPN Notes
trent dilfer
- Bears winning games in regular season with defense and run game. Thats fine for regular season but they CANNOT win like that in playoffs. They will need to win with offense and cant see Cutler doing it in playoffs. They will be one and done IF they make it in
tim hasselbeck
- The field was a reason the Bears won the game against eagles as vick is slipping and could not make his cuts
- Still not buying into the Bears offense. Still sees them running wrong routes half the time
- If he was running a NFC team he would want the Bears in the playoffs easy win
colin cowherd
- Bears are not good. Only 2 wins against winning teams.
- Does not want to hear it from Bear fans cause they will not make the playoffs
Boo all you want but you know what….Deep down you know I am right!

A similar subject came up a few weeks ago and it just really pisses me off...
how the hell could Tim Hasselback possibly know that the Bear receivers are “running the wrong routes”? When was he given the Bears’ playbook and allowed to attend practices to know this? What a crock….
I truly can't understand why a douche like Cowherd has a show.
Dude is really really awful. He just spouts off at the mouth without knowing anything about a subject. Every time he talks about any sports Chicago related I cringe. The average Chicago sports fan knows way more about sports than that jerk. His formula is very easy to figure out: Take the general national consensus, and take it to the extreme. Its like he watches NOTHING on TV, the scans espn.com for 15 minutes before his show.
“Bears SUCK, they’ve played no one yet!”
Thanks for the insight, Colin, you moron.

That's exactly what I was thinking
And um, Trent any one ever told you “defense wins championships.” I kind of thought defense and a running game gives you a better shot at a title than chucking it all over (Look no further than the Giants and Steelers recent SB teams).

if both teams win out
then:
a. that last game will have been cancelled some how
II. The Bears would be NFCN champs
You can't say win out.
Both teams can’t win out because they play each other. If the Bears win out, they’d be at least two games ahead of the Packers.

Cowherd is a jackass
He takes unpopular opinions just to get a rise out of people. That’s his whole thing. I heard him about a month ago going on and on about how Aaron Rodgers is a terrible QB and Green Bay fans wish they still had Favre. I’m living in Wisconsin right now and I don’t think I know anybody who feels that way. He just spews whatever he wants.

Forgets to point out that the Bears have beat 3 winning teams, Miami won Sunday to move to 6-5 and when the Bears played them they were 5-4.

clothes question
there was a guy too loaded to speak at the bears game in miami, but he had on a sweet orange polo that had the bears logo andi think ditka screen printed on it. i can’t really remember it in detail, but it was sort of like the Polo brand shirts with the large polo player on the chest, but it was ditka instead. or maybe a bears logo. either way, i can’t find this thing on the internet and I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Hub
is really starting to lean towards douche. Yesterday his claim was “if Tommie Harris doesn’t tip that, the game is totally different” in addition to the INT’s that Cutler “should’ve” thrown (which he always mentions). If something does happen you can’t take it away, if it doesn’t happen you can’t magically add it in.
Hes always
done that…..Even going back to 06…If Hester does not return that for a TD Bears lose big…..He always likes to take plays away from the Bears or add plays to the other team….If vick hits the wide open celek eagles win big……
Wish I could find that interview cause I would like to hear it and add it here……

I agree with you completely...
I’ve been very critical of Jay and I wish he would clean up his mechanics but he DIDN’T throw any picks so it doesn’t matter. Also, and we’ll never know this, but that ball that Tommie tipped, if you look at the replay from behind Vick you could see Urlacher starting to drop back into the zone where the receiver was crossing over. He might have picked it off anyway, but like the other points we’ve made, IT DIDN’T HAPPEN THAT WAY, so who cares.
If Hub wasn't removed from Bears radio
he wouldn’t be such a tool

I agree Lester
It seems like he’s bitter ever since he got the axe. I actually have enjoyed the guy throughout his career, but this year he is adding and subtracting plays at a record pace.
a wins a a win
i dont care much for “analysts” espichelly espn ones!! nfl network at least has better ones that are hall of famers for the most part and or have coached.. talking heads though all of them!!
who can predict anything anyway its a game to game scenario this season the bears have just as good a shot as anyone int he nfc and only time will tell but they seem to be peaking at just the right time which is good!!
Hub on the Score
Found it so now time for everyone favorite Hub Arkush on the Score:
- Not ready to buy into the Bears going deep into the playoff like McNeil (McNeil has them in the Super Bowl against the chargers)
- Gives them ton of credit best game of the year by the Bears
- Bears win just nature of the NFC right now (teams up and down)
- Will make the playoffs but they will be one and done most likely
- eagles were the sexist team but falcons are the hottest team
- Way Bears D is playing right now they can play with anyone
- Needed Cutlers best game of his career but can he do that consistently. Will be fun to see if he does
- O line still a problem
- Only reason they had balance in the eagle game was because they only ran 49 plays. A normal NFL game is 60 – 70
- Would balance still been there with more plays
- Bears only ran 21 times. Cutler had 7 runs where he ran for his life
- They have better balance on Offense but O still has a number of questions. Thinks that Defense has been answered
- Spiegal points out the reason the Bears had so few plays was because they scored so fast and Bears Defense made the eagles march down the field thats why they had so many plays
- Helped the Bears that they had that one long drive to help even out TOP and plays
- Bears game was over by half time. Thought game ended when THarris tipped the ball for the CHarris INT
- Good football teams do that. Good football is starting to become a trend with this team
- Peppers sack was a joke. How do you leave Peppers unblocked on goal to goal offense
- Funniest thing he heard was the eagle player saying the Bears know the eagles are the better team. Wanted to know what game he saw (I think the alternate dimension game where samuels had 4 INTs)
- eagles didnt play their best game and the Bears did cant take that away
- Still does not like the O line or the WR. Think they are weaknesses. Does not like the Bears secondary
- Does not trust the coaching staff
- He knows enough about the interaction “up there” then add in good fortune when you play teams
- Does not think that martz is on a leash
- martz is close to becoming the mad bomber again. Never know when
- Sure Lovie and Martz talked at the bye week but seeing how it ended in stl, san fran, and det martz is not being handled (or on a leash)
- In todays NFL always 2 breaks from winning and losing games
- If THarris doesnt tip that ball eagles win the game
Boo all you want but you know what….Deep down you know I am right!
- Mike Martz on how the feels about the fans
Martz is doing what he has to do to win
Whether he realized it on his own or had Tice and Lovie in his ear, he now understands this offensive line can’t deal with as many deep drops, the o-line isn’t that bad at running the ball, Matt Forte has enough burst to be a threat, and the Bears defense and special teams are damn good so his offense dosen’t have to put up 30+ to win, but it’s good to know they can.

Cutler's best game
Can he do it consistently? Um probably not if it was the best. Law if averages anyone? We all wanted to see him cut down on mistakes. He has done that consistently this year. Its hard to average a 146 passer rating and 4 TDs.
by TheMan1 on Nov 30, 2010 3:04 PM CST via mobile up reply actions
just a couple of thoughts
Home field advantage – Soldier Field and its loose turf unlike something like crowd noise both teams play on the same surface and the Eagles could have/should have been prepared for it.
NFL quarterbacks throw TD passes into tight coverage every week. Tight coverage in the Red Zone is a forgone conclusion. Jay Cutler is unique in that when he throws a TD into tight coverage it’s not really a TD pass it’s a lucky break that the ball wasn’t intercepted.
"cover-2 crap" you hear this a lot at WCG but why?
Vick throws a TD instead of an INT the game is over Philly wins? Too much game left to say that and Da Bears don’t fold up that easy.
Brady my have the tools to pick apart cover-2, but Cutler has the tools to destroy a weak NE defense.
Law of Averages? Let’s throw out the Eagles and Redskins games and Jay has thrown 12 TD to 6 INTs
