New England Patriots @ Chicago Bears | Our Butts Got Beat BAD!

The Patriots came in and out-executed us. They played an amazing game and had us off balance more times than not. Every week, our goal is to make OTHER teams feel unbalanced by making them one-dimensional. Well, as evidenced by the final score, we certainly weren’t able to do that on defense.

I gotta admit, though... We came out fast! We did our thing, got a three and out, and felt real good about that. Unfortunately, we didn’t keep up that pace. The entire game, New England’s fundamentals were spot-on and we simply let them get away from us. At this point, all we can do is just absorb the loss as a lesson learned. We now know what it’s like to square-off against a championship team that’s playing at their championship level. We all promise each and every one of you that this game will be learned from, because we’re hoping to see them sometime again this season - if you know what I mean.

Next up is Minnesota. And they’re going to present us with a huge test. Sure, we don’t know where we’re going to play them, yet (they had the whole dome-collapsing-thing happen), but that doesn’t really matter. As long as we’re prepared for’em (and we will be), it doesn’t matter where the game’s held.

We’ve gotta win this one, 4th Phase! A victory would be HUGE for us. We can’t afford to lose division games, so we don’t plan on letting that happen. In fact, if the conditions of our division rivals unfold a certain way, we’ll have a chance to clinch the NFC North. YOU KNOW we’d like to go ahead and make that happen.

So stay with us, Bears fans -- And keep BEARIN’ DOWN!
