Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Coach Raheem Morris confirmed that Antonio Bryant will not be back with Tampa. He turns 29 in March. He had 83 catches for 1248 yards and 7 TD's two years ago. He's had knee injuries since. What do you think?

Personally,

I don’t think WR that big a need for us. I’d rather see the team us the money on the defense (DE, CB, FS).

I think

the Bears should sign every player that becomes available! It really depends on what he’ll cost. Most likely, out of the Bears price range, but would be a decent veteran pickup to add to a young WR corp.

It's a shame that we have absolutely no trading peices left

We can’t move up in the draft…

And we can’t make offers to guys who are costing their teams too much money… ala Reggie Bush (who could possibly post new career highs under Mike Martz).

Reggie Bush

would be a match made in heaven. He’d be all-world in Martz’s scheme.

I agree

but our GM has a perverse understanding of the word “nucleus”

DO NOT WANT

We need more knee injuries. Everyone we’ve ever picked up with knee problems has rehabbed wonderfully!

I think

if Tampa Bay doesn’t want him, that probably says something.

If they sign this pair of knees held together by bubble gum and rubber bands, this sound will play in my head:

You know what?

Michael Irvin and Joe Montana are available! They have 7 Superbowls! Wow!

We have better use for our ammunition than a hit-or-miss wide receiver.

IMHO it isn’t a position of need unless we can get a bona-fide number 1 (which we can’t). I would rather spend our resources at FS/SS/CB and OL/DL than another receiver who “might” work out.
