Shipley

If Jordan Shipley falls to us…get him. He’s going to be a great possession receiver in this league. Runs great routes and has good timing. You don’t have to have blazing speed if you can have those attributes.

Absolutely

I’m shocked there isn’t more talk about him. He’s my sleeper and would love if the Bears got him.

somehow it doesn’t surprise me that these drafts have us picking a WR…even though clearly we require OL and some sort of Secondary help first

I hope most of these sites are wrong

It would be hard to pass on Shipley if he’s still around, but I don’t think we need a receiver. Our guys are young enough, Iglesias is still basically a rookie. Bring in Holt and then leave the receiving corps alone. Get a FS and OL!

funny how a lot of sites have Bears going WR

Today in my series looking at potential draftable positions, I’m spotlighting the WR.

OK I was all set to comment on this post yesterday but I wanted to double check some stats

and when I got back on WCG to leave a comment this post was gone and now I’ve completely forgotten what I wanted to say. But it was really good and highly insightful. At least I think it was….

It's the thought that counts

No Kam Chancellor?

Thank GOD at least these draft sites have some sense. Though, they also have us missing on Major Wright and Myron Lewis, or John Asamoah

Oregon's TJ Ward

I attend most Oregon home games – TJ Ward is a damn good football player!

Nobody likes Gilyard?

The dude was an absolute beast this year. He single handily won the Big East title for Cincy in the last game of the season and had an incredible year throughout.

Great Player

But we have more pressing needs. If he fell to the 4th then sure. But I doubt he makes it past the beginning of the third.

Agree with both of those statements.

Never thought we’d even have a chance to get him because of his year and I think we are fine (not great) at WR. I was simply saying if we are going to take a WR, I would rather take him than Shipley.

I honestly wouldn’t mind signing Torry Holt. I know he has been fading but a reunion with Martz might make sense and simply as a veteran presence for the young guys. He wouldn’t cost too much and also wouldn’t need to be the number 1 or even 2 receiver. Just my take. He was actually really good as an analyst I thought, besides fingers…sick.
