Julius Peppers: The Bears' New Beast - @ChrisHarrisNFL

Julius-peppers_medium

Hey... What's goin' with my good-old Chicago Family?  I thought I'd drop by, say "hi," and take a minute to share a few thoughts about my good friend, Julius Peppers.

Star-divide

Quite simply… Julius is one of the most dominant players in the league.  He'll get double and triple-teamed, and still be able to brush everyone off him.  But, even with that being true, he still tends to get a bad rap from people who say he's sometimes out there half-ass'n things, and I promise you that's not true.  Sure... Julius doesn't get to the quarterback aaaaaaaaaall the time (Who does?), but that doesn't mean he's slackin'. Some fans and analysts need to understand that you shouldn't equate being a hard-worker by the number of sacks you get - that's simply not a fair way to gauge a player's efforts.

Here's the truth of the matter...

Julius is a FREAKISH talent.  The reason someone might watch him play and think he's not giving it his all is because he makes playing the game of football look so damn easy.  The last thing he's doing is slacking - he's just out there being the beast that he is in such a graceful way that he makes his gig look effortless.  So don't confuse things - the man is definitely getting the job done. ...And with authority, might I add.

When I put in a good word for Julius as he was scouting the marketplace, I told anyone who wanted to know my opinion about him everything I just ran by you.  And even though I hated that he might not be a Panther anymore, I had to be honest and say that Julius would most certainly boost the defense of whichever team brought him on.  It's not everyday a player of his caliber comes along, and the Bears are going to be a better team for being the lucky ones who landed him.

Good luck next year!

Chris

P.S. Thanks for having me, over here on Windy City Gridiron.  Letting me do this is too cool of you.  Oh, and it would be cool if we could reconnect, so look me up on my Google Profile …alright? The link to it is on my Facebook page.

So Chris the most important question

what will it take to get you back in Navy and Orange?

More like, Mr. We’dluvuback!

Btw, thanks for swingin’ by and thanks for any of the positive things you may have said about Chicago in regards to J. Peppers!

The Monsters are lickin' their chops...

You all have some special people on that D already – I hope that this addition turns you all into frothing lunatics next year – especially against Rogers and Favre.

By the way.. I'm officially an idiot..

I still think of CH as a bear, so my posts have been reflecting that. Congintive dissonance, maybe – cuz I wish he was still a bear. Go Panthers!

Class Act as Always Chris

It’s a shame we traded you back in the day. You were one of my favorite players in ‘05 and ’06. Best of luck to you in all that you’re doing!

As many Bear Fans, I was sad to see you traded, but happy to see that you have found success.

Best of luck to you in the future.

Skip and Ditka

Were the only two guys on Espn that weren’t hating on Cutler and the Bears (mainly cause Skip went to Vanderbilt) but he was the ONLY one that keep talking about our sucky O-line having to do with some Jay’s mistakes and the offense sucking.

ESPN seem to root for Jay to fail (not saying that they are) it just sounded like they were before we weny up against pittsburgh, and when we beaten them they didn’t even talk about that game.

I remember in 08(I think)

we played the Lions or somebody and had a really good game, highlight worthy…i watched for the replays, and they announced them being “upcoming” like 4 times (yesi watched the show 4 times) and they never showed it… face it MSM hates us

I LOVE THIS BLOG!!!!

Thanks for coming by Chris and giving us a true insider perspective on JP. Like others have said I was sad to see you go, but truly happy you found success in the league. Once a Bear always a Bear. I wish you all the best of luck in the upcoming season, unless you are playing the Bears then i hope you get burnt like toast. :)

Thanks for showin some love Chris

I always thought you got a raw deal being traded to Carolina, but thats football.
You’re a class act as always, which is evident by you coming here on a Chicago Bears based forum and posting about a guy we signed from your team. I wish you were still here, you were right in the middle of your development, we could use your help in the absence of Mike Brown.
Thanks for stopping by Chris, much success to you. See ya in the playoffs.

You sir are a Beast!!!

I would love to see you back in navy and orange. Imo, one of the worst mistakes the Bears have made since Lovie has been HC was trading you away. I felt like that right after the fact and I feel even more strongly about that now. Thanks for coming over here and being so damn cool!! Class Act All Day Long!!
