JA said...........
“Right now we would be comfortable starting with the present cast of players at the position,’
WoW that’s just great…………

Honestly guys? Really?
JA has to say that stuff. He has to stand up for his players, no matter if he feels that way or not. I’m sure they will pick up, at some point in the offseason, a FS who can come in and start.
Do or do not there is not try-Master Yoda
no, he doesn't
he’s said some negative things about the Oline, and Dline and addressing things in other areas. but time and again they have continued to stick by our safeties…our SS side is locked. but we have no answer for FS, yet FO keeps saying we’re fine

it's because he knows ...
his luck and past in drafting, developing and keeping safeties—FS or SS—is absolute crap. he can’t judge a defensive back’s ability if his damn life depended on it (see Vasher, Nathan; Bowman, Zachary; Moore, D.J. for examples). true those are all CBs … but looking at Payne, Steltz and Manning (all who had minimum upsides) as our starting cast is just about par for the course for JA, so for him to go out and get a proven vet or draft a kid with real potential, he’ll just continue to undervalue the position and put all his focus on a pass rush.
He also doesn't want to look desperate.
If he’s still looking at making a move before or on draft day, why give other teams the upper hand? Thus the “we’re fine with what we’ve got now” and “Greg Olsen wants to be a Bear” comments. I bet the fly on the wall is hearing something different.

I am torn about Olsen
I really like him, but would probably get over a trade with him, IF we got a solid guy in return, otherwise i think he’s very valuable to us, even if his level of softness is debated

I am stunned
that nobody has put up a speculation post about acquiring the services of Teddy Ginn Jr.

agreed
When Ted Ginn Jr. grows up, he hopes to be Devin Hester.

X-Factor
Some prospects the Bears should be looking at in the later rounds: Draft’s offensive X-factors

I don't see the Bears drafting any of those guys
I’d like them to get a couple of them though, a bunch of play makers in that list

My school only had 2000 people.
Why the hell do they need an 18,000 seat stadium?
