A Look at the Bears 2010 Draft Class, Sponsored By XFINITY

As announced previously in this space, XFINITY from Comcast has generously agreed to support the best NFL community around -- us! As part of that effort, between now and the end of the 2010 NFL season XFINITY will be sponsoring a variety of special editorial and interactive features on our site.

For this post, we are going to take a quick look at the 2010 Chicago Bears Draft.

Star-divide

3rd Round: Major Wright, FS, Florida

4th Round: Corey Wootton, DE, Northwestern

5th Round: Joshua Moore, DB, Kansas St.

6th Round: Dan LeFevour, QB, Central Michigan

7th RoundJ'Marcus Webb, OT, West Texas A&M

For the second straight year, the Bears did not have a 1st round pick, but Jerry Angelo did pick up a couple of guys that could make an impact in 2010.

Major Wright is expected to compete for a starting Safety position, and Corey Wootton could see some playing time in Nickel situation to rush the passer.

As for Moore, LeFevour, and Webb, we'll just have to wait and see.  Fortunately though, everyone will have their opportunity to shine.

what purpose does this serve?

I understand plugging a sponsor but just a list / repost of our picks?
how about an update on their progress through mini camp so far?
maybe some coaches reactions and comments to their performance?

Agreed.

This post has zero new content other than a giant advertisement.

Negative Nancy's (or should that read Nancies?)

I am already subscribing to and or purchasing products from Xfinity simply because of this post and I expect many (and there are MANY (we are a mighty nation)) people who have already done the same. I am however, still waiting for my official WCG t-shirt available soon from WCG replete with the WCG logo on the front and the power poster logo on the back selling for $15 each available by clicking on the “products” icon soon to be unveiled on the home page. (As soon as Dane listens to reason and begins making such products available) In the mean time, I will be content to purchase/subscribe to any/all products advertised on this site. Thank you for reading this unpaid announcement/solicitation.

On other newsss............

Did you guys see the new advertisement, with acai berry?? OMGGAWSH is that chick hott! Take no offensive ladies!!!

by I love football! on May 7, 2010 10:12 PM CDT reply actions

But the news is SHOCKING!!!!!

The acai berry DOES NOT (I repeat, for dramatic effect and nothing else) NOT reduce fat. And I am stunned. Speechless. However, YES that (insert feminine expletive/derogative) is a/an (insert adjective with sexual undertones here)!! TOTALLY!

If you can't laugh at yourself you must not be very funny.

I'm so confused...

Is this a television ad, or an ad that pops up on our website?

by Dane Noble on May 8, 2010 10:40 AM CDT up reply actions

It shows up on this site...

Sometimes on the right side and sometimes even on the front page (for me at least)

I've never seen that pop up

Me neither,

I don’t think. Although I’d probably ignore it if it did. Haha.

Oh yeah wonderful...not

Yeah Comcast is wonderful, wonderful at raising their prices, I was a long time customer of Comcast until my bill kept going up and up, I started out with the triple play for $99 a mo, when that ended it was raised to $160, then later another increase to $178, and 6 mos later another increase to $194, and last month my bill was $292, I don’t order pay per view, I called and asked why, they said, the cost of the cable boxes went up, yeah by 40%, and other cost went up, I asked if they would lower my bill, after all I’ve been a customer for years, they said they couldn’t do that, they have package deals for new customers, but not long standing ones, nice way to do business, I took all their equipment out of my house, I now have dish, with the same channels I had, plus more movie channels, and I have a different internet and phone provider, all for under $160 a mo, almost cut my bill in half, thanks Comcast

What were they thinking?

Re-read this post.

Seriously. Slowly. With no distractions. Then read it again. Then wreck this man for taking so much time to have you miss the message entirely. Big media sucks everywhere and they all prey on the masses. Stop watching TV go get a good book at your local library for free and open up the theater of the mind. Then go to your neighbor’s house and ask him if you can watch every Bears game at his place and you’ll bring the beer. You’ll get smarter and maybe make a new best friend.

They pissed me off a couple years ago.

I was with them for about five years, and the box went bad. They wanted me to pay them to fix their own box (which I was already paying them for). Hated losing the Ticket, but it was FIOS time at that point.
