Anniversary of Brian Piccolo's Death
"I love Brian Piccolo, and I'd like all of you to love him. When you hit your knees to pray tonight, please ask God to love him, too." Those were the words of Gale Sayers the month before Piccolo died of cancer.
Today marks the 40th anniversary of his death.
Mr. Piccolo, thank you for your contributions to our storied franchise. We wish you could have been a part of our lives for a longer period of time, but we certainly cherish the time you were here.

Say I want to watch Brian's Song for the first time...
1971 or 2001 version? Sure this is a dumb question but I’m asking it anyway.
Aw man I shot Marvin in the face.
1971 for sure !!!!!!

It was a dumb question.
You watch both. ’71 first, then 2001 so that you can appreciate ’71 even more.
If I did what I love for a living, what would I do in my free time?

The answer is as simple as:
Lando Calrissian vs. David ‘Future’ Porter?

Remember at the end of Empire?
When Lando is not only a total dick for originally giving them up, but then, after Han’s frozen in carbonite, he steals his clothes and starts flying the Falcon?
What an a-hole.

Wow is right..
Geez, I’s 20 years old, just a pup doin’ my thing in the R.V.N., and I thought my luck sucked….not so much comparatively. As a" lifer Bear", when it was possible to get the Bears on TV I do remember seein’ ‘Pic’ when Sayers needed a breather(not often) and some good blockin’. The first flick was/ is still definetly an inspiration, need a little reflection time?….. highly recommend it. You did good Brian Piccolo, I’m sure Gayle Sayers knows that better than anyone.
