Chris Harris Exclusive: 'Da Hitman Gets Hitched' (Parts 1-4)
I'm gone, people! This plane's leaving to Aruba, where I'm gonna go off and marry a girl! Yezzzirrr!!!
Before I go, though, I wanna give you guys an easy way to maneuver through my Da Hitman Gets Hitched mini-series. So look below and get-ta readin'!
EXCERPT: "Kenetria is a down-to-earth, cool, intelligent woman (Vanderbilt grad with a degree in economics), who’s not looking for anything but love. And, in my profession, it’s hard finding a woman who likes you, simply for you. So many of them come after you for your status or your money. But Kenetria... She genuinely likes me -- the person -- not the persona. In fact, before her and I got close, she claimed herself to be "anti-athlete" (as far as dating goes), because she - understandably so - had a bit of a negative perception about how some pro-athletes tend to play around too much. I’m proud to claim that I was able to convert her ;-)"
"I Want YOU, Not Your Friends" (Pt. 2)
EXCERPT: "Yes... There really was a period of time when I just wanted to play it friendly with Kenetria, and I maintained that commitment for quite a while - she was just like one of my homeboys. We’d kick it, have fun, and not do the bf/gf-thing. She even tried to hook me up with a bunch of her single friends, but I never bit.
Finally, after about three months of Kenetria suggesting girl after girl, I broke our friendship-code and started to flirt a little by asking her...
"Why don’t you ever mention yourself as someone I should date?""
EXCERPT: "So when you love someone, you try to keep’em around, right? Well, the only way I knew how to lock her down was to propose to her that she forever be my wife -- So I did. And maaaan (haha)... The way I did it was real player."
"My Fiance Shares Her Side of Our Story" (Pt. 4) - By Kenetria Richardson
EXCERPT: "I’ve been reading Chris’ posts about how him and I came together in this relationship, and he’s really made me look like someone who was playing hard to get! The truth of the matter is that I fell in love with him during that first night we went to the basketball game in Charlotte. From the moment we got in the car to go to the arena, to the final moments of the night at his house when we were just talking, drinking wine, and listening to music by his outdoor fireplace, Chris was a perfect gentleman. He completely respected me, and he completely respected my boundaries -- CHRIS. WAS. PERFECT."
...And that'll do it! I hope you enjoyed Da Hitman Gets Hitched as much as Kenetria and I enjoyed putting it together.
Now - if you'll excuse me - it's time for me to enjoy some US in Aruuuuubaaa!
Later...

In the 8th grade Mike Ditka won his school's Science Fair with a model of a working volcano. There were 17 other working volcano's made that day, but only one named Mount Ditka.

Chris my wife and I went to Aruba on our honeymoon and we loved it
Make sure you try the local beer called Belashi beer. Not sure where you are staying but if you are staying at the hotel with it’s own private island stay on the right side and definately stake out the hammock on the rocks, but don’t flip it like I did, the wife enjoyed me busting my ass though. Oh and I totally recommend renting a jeep and driving the island its a fun day trip for just the tow of you.
BearNecessities you're my assistant, okay you're supposed to
back me up and go get me juice boxes when I tell you. Now go get me
a juice box.
Congratulations to you both.
Too bad more stories like this don’t get the press that run-ins with the law do.

Sounds like she
has all the good attributes to be a loving wife- great personality and looks, smarts, and very geniune! Have fun in the sun, and then let’s get you ready for the biggest season in Bears illustrious history!
"Is there any truth to the rumor that the Bears gave up their first-round pick in 2011 for the decals?" - Someone registered as the DailyNorseman at PFT suggesting the Bears gave up picks in order to get Gaines Adams tribute decals. Stay classy Minnesota fans!
Congrats!
Here’s wishing the two of you a lifetime full of happiness.
Congratulations!
And as said before, as a Vandy grad I’m sure she’ll be just a big of a hit with the team as she was for you.
Have a great time, and fill up the yin with this wonderful honeymoon to balance the yang of devestating people for the next 26 weeks or so. :D

Cheers!
If you can't laugh at yourself you must not be very funny.
I remain a pessimistically hopeful Bears fan.
Excellent Story. May you live long and lovingly
This might be the best post I ever read from an athlete. May your life together be blessed, happy and healthy.

Wedding day message
Chris and Kenetria,
Great story and I’m really happy for the both of you!
If everyone had a relationship like the two of you, the world would be whole different place. Enjoy the rest of your lives together!
Revel in the fun of your new life together...
These are the times you’ll remember. They help when you get to those less than fun moments! Now go have some fun!
IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO FIRE LOVIE!
Wait a second...
Does that mean another Vandy grad associated with the Bears? I’m sensing a pattern here.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO FIRE LOVIE!
Yeah...
I hear she can play corner as well :D

"A lot of fans were drawn to me because they knew that whatever the score was, I was going to run as hard as I could on every play. You don't have that now, you have guys waiting for next week or even next year." - Walter Payton
