And crackers.
Don’t forget the crackers. And yes, that was racist.
If you can't laugh at yourself you must not be very funny.
I remain a pessimistically hopeful Bears fan.
From the Biggs article on the OL
G Lance Louis, 6-6, 305, 2nd season, San Diego State
Louis must’ve grown some this off season
The Madden rankings are fair, exception being Aromashodu’s speed ranking of an 87. That’s a buncha crap! DA is at least a 93. And they still have Omiyale as a LG.
Elijah & Olivia – and this is my kids wanting to type their names
how about corey graham
I heard he was possibly the fastest player on our team?

Nice catch BN
I thought the same thing, but didn’t mention it. I think “Madden” has him at an 85, right? Graham should at least be in the low 90’s.
I always assumed
your kids would be name Dent and Dentia.

I tried
I also tried Walter for my son and Payton for my daughter, but to no avail. I kicked around Luke and Leia as well, but their mom wouldn’t go for that either.
But I guess I’ll still love them all anyway.
When they are 18
they can change it to whatever they want you know… with a little monetary persuasion maybe?

Madden has Greg Olsen's toughness at 85
Case closed.
In the 8th grade Mike Ditka won his school's Science Fair with a model of a working volcano. There were 17 other working volcano's made that day, but only one named Mount Ditka.

I guess that means an 85 rating = charmin soft.

Rasheid and Tim Shaw have the same hit power... Really....
Can anyone explain to me how Davis and Shaw hit the same, a linebacker and WR are the same when it comes to hitting someone? Really…. Not to mention a two things, Shaw’s overall rating of a 57 is turrible and Pat Mannelly not on any list Bears related being a long snapper or not is shenannigans.

Madden ratings are mostly speculation when the season starts
I don’t even start playing people online until the first roster update comes out, when the ratings are a little more accurate based of the current player’s performance.
Lame
Swagger? WTF…… your guys got speed? Well my guys got swagger…. omg…
Aroma, overall 70? When he rocks it out this season that stats going to suck to have to play with.
Chester Taylor: 74?
Cutler: 83?
Pisa: 73? He did well in St. Louis… found that surprising.
Izzy a 65? Oucchhh.
Our starting CB is a 74…. eeep.
Madden hates the Bears…. always has.
don't worry EA will realize their error and update the rosters
The only thing I can see this season as a plus for the player ratings on the Bears is Chris Williams.. he left off last year on the final roster update in the mid 70’s
RE: All About the QBs in the NFC North
I would agree that the QBs in the NFC North are the bigger story, but I think the bigger concern as we proceed into the season will be on the DEs and down-lineman putting pressure on them.
With all 4 teams having rebuilt, aged or inconsistent secondaries, many analysts and fans will be looking on the front 4’s of each of these teams to makeup for the lack of talent/depth 10+ yds beyond the line of scrimmage.

RE: Hester talks on T.O.
I have been really impressed with Hester’s statements and work ethic this offseason. It really does seem like he is making all attempts to improve his game. I’m excited to see what #23 will do this 2010 season.
I also like the fact that he didn’t say anything out of his pay grade as a “player” in the Chicago Bears organization when referring to the ever-looming question of Owens in Chicago. I think the receivers can produce if they continue to approach the offseason in the same manner that they have been and Cutler’s ease in the pocket increases, but I like the idea that he welcomes veteran experience to the unit by saying that he sees “the good” in getting a player of his calibur on the football team. I think his time with Isaac Bruce has shown him that you can learn a lot from veterans who have performed at a high level and gain from just soaking up what they would do or being around them.
Good piece, Biggs!

Pepp's reputation recedes himself
What I’ve seen is a great work ethic. Not a good work ethic, but a great one. And he’s got a real thirst for knowledge, which is about as good a compliment as you can give.
From what we read internally, whether it be in Carolina or Chicago, he’s portrayed as the antithesis of what’s reported by the MSM. What a flippin’ joke? He’s poised to have a big year, cause I’m sure he’s motivated to prove the naysayers wrong…again.

Probably doesn’t make much sense, but was going for his rep being belittled by the media ;)

Madden Ratings
I agree with everyone who says the Bears are rated too low in Madden. You would think they would see a guy ike DA and what he did the 2nd half of last year and raise the ratings up a little. He had a huge game on MNF against a division rival!! Pat Mannelly is a really important part of the ST but I noticed some years he’s in the game and some years not. That being said, it’s still the most fun game to play and I look forward to playing every year and crushing the CPU with our Bears!!
Madden don't believe in long snappers

He got
laid out like a china set. If he can’t see the rush coming right in front him, how is he going to do when it comes from the blindside?
