What a geek that guy is! Just another reason to not watch ESPN

From the article on Benson and Marvin Lewis
Marvin Lewis:
“I don’t know why we’re even talking about Cedric being suspended a game,” Lewis added. “I don’t even know why we’re bringing it up. To me it’s unbelievable. It wouldn’t be brought up in 31 other cities in the country I think.”
You don’t really believe that, do you Marvin?

Hopefully the G Wolfe era is over.
And the Unga era can begin…

In his defense, Turdner's Offense was not the right fit for his talents.
He should be able to excel in this one under Martz.
But, if not, I wouldn’t “boo hoo” about him getting kicked to the curb.

I can see Wolfe somehow sticking around

I do too, but I wouldn't put money on that. haha!
He’s on VERY thin ice with a team that has a lot of players with potential that would like the opportunity to make this roster and contribute.
He has skated by in the past two years, but this is cerainly a make or break camp for him.

That Biggs article on the DE's was awful. He never mentioned Idonije or Gilbert.
Here’s what Rod Marinelli himself had to say (link):
We’ve got great competition between him [Anderson], [Israel Idonije] and the young guy Corey Wootton.
LM: What does Idonije bring to the table?
RM: He is a very instinctive rusher. He’s a guy who has played everywhere. Now we’re going to get a chance to focus him in on one spot [at defensive end] and allow him to compete for that position.
RM: Jarron has been playing end, but we can always flip him back inside. I like what he’s done at the end position this offseason. Henry’s got a chance to compete in the nickel package as an inside rusher.
I for one am really excited to see Wootton
possibly get a shot to unseat Anderson, I believe he is quicker and bigger than MA. hopefully that plays out
The name Mark Anderson doesn’t exactly strike fear in to opposing teams minds

Yeah it seemed a bit incomplete...
But don’t worry, I’ll start my Position Battles series in a few weeks! I’ll leave no stone unturned!

Is he a very good player? Yes. Is he better than Jared Allen or Kevin Williams or DeMarcus Ware? Hell, no
To that i say
BULLSHIT!
Yeha bbut your
point(and a correct one i might add) didn’t!
I'm pretty sure
He’s better than Allen, and about 10x’s better than K.Williams. DeMarcus Ware may have him, but not by much
I don't know about that.
I liked the anticipation.
"More cowbell" - Bruce Dickinson
"More bell cow" - Lovie Smith
Wolfe for sure
Bell is a one-trick pony, and with Taylor on board, there’s no need for a RB that runs in-between the tackles. Plus, Unga will be the short-yardage guy if he does well on STS.

I don't think a true FB makes the roster
If Unga makes it he’ll be a hybrid, and all other FB duties will fall on the H-Back

I'm going with Unga to the Practice Squad
Mike Bell or Wolfe will be cut with a “high probability” that Bell is the one cut (unless he breaks out in camp).

Just my take... but
You typically don’t draft someone in the supplemental draft (even if it was for i\only a 7th round pick in 2011), if you don’t don’t have plans to keep that player on your roster somehow. There’s a reason only two players were selected in the draft.

Agreed Unga is a talented kid
and will find a way to stick around… ahem, redshirt (cough, cough)

I would much rather see
Bell cut and Unga take his place. Even if for only ST’s. I get the whole “redshirt” thing but it’s a complete waste IMO and a bullshit move.
WILDCARD BITCHES!!! YEEEEHHHAAAAA!!!!!
I guess you can spin him
in any role, but I still thinks he makes the roster regardless. You know how Jerry and company love to keep their draft picks!

Bell goes back to the PS
and Wolfe and Iwuh become special teams studs. With Shaw flying around, Manning and Hester returning kicks and punts, there’s no way we shouldn’t be the #1 special teams unit in the league.

Opening day against the Lions
I’ll be in Chicago on Sep 12th with some friends and would like to know of a good sports bar to watch the game, preferrably around Downtown or possibly Midway Airport. Any natives have any suggestions?
