What are you looking forward to the most during TC/Pre-Season?
With training camp a little over a week away it’s starting to sink in that football season is almost here. Personally I consider the pre-season the start of the NFL season, football is football in my opinion. Even though the games do not technically count I get just about as pumped up for a pre-season game as I do for a regular season game. I think this is due to the fact that I’m so tired of watching the previous year’s high/lowlights(though I doubt I’ll ever get tired of watching this beauty). With the entrenched starters playing time being fairly minimal during these exhibition games, I think the beauty of the NFL, and sports in general, is watching young players who have yet to make a name for themselves battle it out and try to earn a roster spot and additional playing time.
With the off-season usually comes new players(Peppers, Taylor, Wright, etc.), new coaches(Martz, Tice, Marinelli as DC, etc.), and new schemes(the Martzfense) as well as very high hopes and expectations. While players and coaches become familiar with one another and any new schemes being implemented during voluntary workouts and OTA’s, fans don’t get an opportunity to the see the progress the team has claimed to be making all off-season until training camp, for some, and the pre-season. With so many new faces on the team now expectations are sky high and fans around the globe cannot wait for the 2010 season to get under way.
So my question to WCG is this: what are you most excited about/ looking forward to the most regarding this year’s training camp and pre-season?
I’m eager to see what Major Wright is made of, and if he can be the answer at FS. We have been craving a playmaker there since Mike Brown’s early days and I’m looking forward to seeing if Wright can be that guy. Also, the battle for SLB between Roach and P.T. should be very interesting. I'm predicting Roach to win.

I'm eager to see ...
…. if our new coaches have a impact . Does Martz’s offense really shine in Chicago ? Is Tice our O-line savior ? Can Rod bring our D back ? These are the things Im eager to see .

I usually root for the underdog...
so in TC/PS, I look for the guys on the margins that blow up in camp and make the final 53. I’m looking at Barnes, Unga, and Q Scott to have that potential this year. Next, it’s the position battles on the o-line and the d-line. Will Anderson step up and be a starter at DE? Will Louis or Asiata beat out Beeks at LG? Lastly, the WRs and DBs. How do the safeties shake down. Who’s the 5th/6th WR to make the team? Damn I’m just ready to see some actual football!
IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO FIRE LOVIE!
I'm most eager for the fact
that I’ll finally get my football fix so these headaches and shakes will go away. Man, off season is rough.
Lovie Smith gets 1 year closer to his contract expiring
Really though, I want to see if the coaches and coordinators that the Bears hired and promoted then sold to the fans as “the answer” and “what we wanted”, get the job done.
Haha.
Nice. :]

No.
I was at the St. Louis Zoo, though, and one of the gift shops was named “Bear Necessities” and I thought of Juicebox.

1) Seeing if our young offense can manage to put it all together
2) Seeing if our old defense can bounce back
3) Something to distract me from the Cubs season

HESTER
The D – #91 next to #90? Major Wright starting? DT #2?
I think Hester may make the Pro Bowl this season. We need a lot of things to work to be good. If those things do fall into place Hester playing well will make us phenomenal.
A healthy Matt Forte improves the entire offense. Even hurt I was still impressed with him last season.
Can't wait to see
Cutler and the wr in the new offense..oh and Garrett Wolfe getting cut..

I can't wait for everyone to realize how overrated Patrick Mannelly is
and watch him get cut by the first roster deadline.
