Lions fan here...

Ok, I know selling a rival teams fan tickets could be considered blasphemy, but hear me out. I was planning on attending the season opener at Soldier Field, and since I'm used to Lion's tickets being available the day after the game, I didn't order tickets the second they went on sale a week ago. Well when I looked for tickets the other day, needless to say, the game has sold out. Obviously, there are various outlets on the interweb that will provide me with tickets, but I really don't want to pay $200 for the upper grandstand.

So anyways...if anyone had 2 extra tickets or knew someone/the best place to find 2 extra tickets I would greatly appreciate it.

You might want to change your name to "Bears Sucker"

if you want a Bears fan to help you get tickets to our first season opener at home since ’04.

I'm pretty sure you can just buy the Silverdome

and host your own game for less than $200. That might be your best bet.

This man speaks the sweet, sarcastic truth!
We all can agree on one thing…Brett Favre is AWESOME! and we love waiting on his decision to come back and choke like we all know he will.

Now, as far as you getting tickets, good luck. Stub Hub and Craig’s List are going to be your best bet, my downtrodden NFC North compatriot. No self respecting Bears fan will likely give up tickets for the first home opener in a long time willingly. Especially when it’s likely going to be a great opportunity to watch a Bears win, brother.

Good luck to your Lions. I see 5-11 or 6-10 in your future. That’s not a jab. I’d say most teams can call an offseason successful if they add 2-4 wins to the following season, and I think the Lions did a great job this offseason. The Pride is certainly on it’s way up. Best of luck to ya.

no offense taken...

I think anything less than 5 wins will be a disappointment as it would show that no progress is being made. But I think the team is capable of winning possibly 8, but that would be if the injury bug doesn’t bite us and our dline makes our secondary look really good. Either way, I think our offense will light some teams up and the challenge will be on our defense to just prevent the opponent from scoring more than we can.

Shit, who am I kiddin’…Lions….wild card playoff spot…oh yeah. Damn this kool-aid tastes good.

Yep

The Lions offense should be much improved if the line can keep Stafford healthy. The D-line will make the defense much more competitive this year with the great additions in Suh and Vanden Bosh. Good luck getting tickets for what should be a great battle!

that stafford kid

showed some skill and a will to win last year. i think 6-8 wins sounds about right to me for the lions this year.

being a bears fan, i am disappointed that i can’t check off the lions games as W’s beforehand this year. although i thought this was the case in 07 and clearly it didn’t work out for the bears that year. stupid brian griese.

With Stafford and Suh

the Lions now have a couple of legit building blocks for the future

Thanks for mentioning the #1 and #2 overall picks but you missed 1 on D and that is Delmas the head hunter, And Megatron on offence.

How many lumps you want Doc?

I don't think he missed anything......

While Delmas and Johnson are definitely quality players, Stafford and (with any luck) Suh are centerpieces that you build teams around. Teams don’t tend to build around WRs or FSs, you know what I mean? I’ve never seen a team draft a WR or a FS because they needed a central player to build around. So I gotta agree with ’Red. Stafford and Suh will be the building blocks that lay the foundation of any resurgence Detroit sees.

I don't think I've ever rec'd a Detroit interloper before,

but that comment deserves my first. Still can’t help you out with Soldiers Field, but I can probably hook you up with Buccaneers tickets. Well, me or the 20,000 people selling/giving away their tickets in the parking lot on game day.

I watch the Lions with an "Awww, good for you!" attitude once in a while

I’m an Oklahoma State alum, so I wanted good things for Barry Sanders. Didn’t happen, but you gotta admit he was dang loyal to the team.
