The Dickerson article isn't working. For me at least.

The Wooton and Urlacher articles were pretty good. Reading the Asiata article has me pretty excited for him and the Bears. To turn his life around and be as dedicated as he seems to be is amazing. Definitely rooting for him to succeed.

JD was on ESPN 1000 w/ J. Wood salivating over Major Wright yesterday

He said that this guy might be the FS the Bears have been looking for and could be a fixture there for a long time. He says that he is not overly flashy, but he just does everything well and makes the plays that go unnoticed.

Surprised he didn’t write about him on ESPN Chicago.

Earl Bennett = Most Receptions in 2010 for Bears

I agree with Kevin Seifert on that.

I think if Bennett’s route running is a notch better than what it was last year (which was pretty good) and he is a bit stronger coming off the line (avoiding the bump fromthe DB) he could potentially be the 80+ reception receiver the Bears so desperately need.

I’m pulling for him this year.

I'm pulling for him too.

He’s got the best hands on the team as far as I’ve seen. Runs good routes and hangs on in traffic. The nice thing with Martz is that there should be at least 4 guys regularly getting a chance to make a play.

He seems the best fit of all the current WRs

for Martz’s scheme

Ditka

If Mike Ditka punched you in the face, you'd have to fight off the urge to thank him.

Magee wasn’t sure whether or not to make the trip to Biloxi and pay the fee but decided to make the investment.

Yeah Pascagoula and Biloxi aren’t that far apart so I don’t know if it’d be much of a “trip”. I didn’t even know Brees was going to be at the mall, shows you how much i care about anything Saints related. It is such a curse to live in the community of another NFL franchise. Bear Down.

Yeah

I was there the week before the SB. It was crazy fun. But I can only imagine how much fun it would’ve been in Chicago in ’85 or ’06.

Visual:

Imagine the verandas teetering above the narrow streets of the French Quarter. Now imagine each veranda with a refrigerator on it. Now imagine each refrigerator painted and decorated with an array of Bear logos and “72”, the crowd in the streets sporting headbands and Raybans; a drunken swarm of Bear fans easily outnumbering Patriot fans 10:1. Make that 20:1.

You could sense the ensuing devastation, the slaughtering that would occur the next afternoon in the arena just up the road. Christians and Lions. Patriots and Bears.

The putrid odor of impending death squelched the air. Or maybe that was vomit on my shoes.

Has anyone played any golf when at training camp?

Boondocksaints812 and myself are heading up this weekend and are thinking of hitting the links Sunday morning. I’d love some course suggestions if anyone has any. Thanks!
