Afternoon Links: Bears Sign DE; Martz Speaks on Offense; We Laugh At Brent Favre
As the Bears get ready for their evening practice (7pm CT) today, let's do a bit of catching up with a few news links worth talking about.
- GM Jerry Angelo sits down with Larry Mayer for his weekly Q/A session about his team. Topics covered include offensive traits on the team, scouting processes, and player evaluation.
- Per Brad Biggs at the Tribune, the team has signed DE Maurice Evans to a contract. The 6'2" 264 lb defensive end was very productive his first two years at Penn State in 2006 and 2007, but had limited production his junior year in 2008. Evans will undoubtedly be another camp body that may end up on the practice squad.
- Next up, OC Mike Martz speaks to reporters for the first time since June and offers his viewpoints on his new offense in this video.
- And finally, here is the team's training camp schedule for those of you who need a review. Upcoming practices are at 7pm today, 3pm tomorrow, and 7pm Friday. Friday's practice will take place at Soldier Field, and Saturday the team has off.
- And, while we're at it, here is a slideshow of Brent Favre's top-10 worst moments in his NFL career, and his top-5 retirement bumblings. We love you Brent.

Brent Favre?
Is that Brett twin who isn’t a media whore and likes to make decisions on the spot?

I didn't edit it out
because I assumed he did it on purpose since it was there twice. Haha. Maybe he was mocking him? :]
