me thinks
that Bennett has dropped because of his knee scope(i think it was his knee) and not being able to go 100% yet.

Yes
Zaidman was on the Boers & Bernstein show saying Bennett was slowed by his off season surgery.

Clark at H-Back?
I’m not really sure what that means. Though, I assume that we’re not keeping any actual Fullbacks this season.

Safety switharoo: I wish they would just go ahead & put Chris Harris at SS. We all know it’s just a matter of time, so we might as well let guys get used to the positions that they’re going to play once the games count. I understand that they want Major Wright to earn the FS position — in which case we should let Bullocks (ever-so-briefly) be penciled in as the starting FS.
Zaidman talked about this as well
and said that Lovie was more comfortable with Harris at FS as he had a better understanding of the defense and the FS has to read run/pass and react to it. A FS that could read the play was more important than someone who was fast and could recover if they misread the play.

Bennett
Third string receivers for the guy who’s supposedly learned all the positions.
Martz did say that his fourth and fifth WR would need to know all three positions. Maybe that’s why he’s slated as a 3rd-stringer right now.

Biggs stated in one article
that Hester, Knox, Armoshodu, and Bennett were the only ones @ WR “safe” of making the roster….With Davis ahead of Bennett does make me wonder a little…..
Course might not matter really as they tend to keep 6 anyways and Davis, Bennett and most likely Iglesias make the team…..
Getting to know Mike Martz offense with this offensive line? It’s just hours of pure boredom interrupted by moments of unbelievable horror.
- Jay Cutler

Really would like to se big Willie and what he could do as another O weapon
That'd be a pretty cool band name as well.
If Mike Ditka punched you in the face, you'd have to fight off the urge to thank him.

Guys who should be nervous:
Afalava, Gilbert, DJ Moore, Wolfe & Bennett. Wootten, Iwuh, Hunter have little room for error.

I guess I'd add
Melton on that list too…reportedly Corey Wooten looks better than both Melton and Gilbert…which is kind of sad since those guys have had a year to prepare if true.

you can't hide natural talent/lack thereof

I’ve read one or two things saying Melton’s showing quickness at DT. There’s nothing whatsoever on Gilbert… it’s almost as if they’re hoping everyone will have forgotten about him being another wasted high (for the past two drafts) round pick, should he fail to make the roster.

I guess a few things jump out at me...
1. Beekman is behind Asiata at LG and Kreutz at C…probably about where he belongs.
2. Anthony Adams is the starter at NT and Melton/Toeaina are battling for 2nd string with Harrison.
3. Q Scott is listed at 3rd string and Alfalfa is 4th
What the hell is going on in the d-backfield?
IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO FIRE LOVIE!
Ayyyyyyye
Quentin doing well? If he can pick up the system than his athleticism should do wonders.
DL
How many DLine are we expecting to carry in the final 53?
as above DE are Peppers, Anderson and Idonije, while DT are Harris and Adams.
where’s that leave Harrison, Gilbert, Toeaina, Melton? anyone else?
Agreed
I wondered which returning TE would fill that role… I do think Brandon Manu will be that guy once the season is closer. Didn’t he have an injury that slowed him down?
In the 8th grade Mike Ditka won his school's Science Fair with a model of a working volcano. There were 17 other working volcano's made that day, but only one named Mount Ditka.

Clark as HB
Supposedly Clark is the TE that will play the HB role due to him being the most versatile of the TEs. It seemed like we used Olsen in that role last year, but it didn’t really work since Olsen is such a poor blocker.
I could see Manu filling that role as well.

say what?
How in the hell did Al Afalava fall behind Josh Bullocks on the depth chart? Bullocks is terrible and I thought Al did a stand up job last year.
