I couldn't help it. I have seen all the other posts and needed to get my 2 cents in.
Tommie Harris was once a staple of this defense along with Urlacher, Briggs, Mike Brown etc etc. Now he has fallen off and since 2007 hasn’t been the frightening force he once was. Injuries have been blamed for this but how long can that ride? I personally thought Tommie would be a big contributor now that we have peppers but alas he is not. So I hear many people that want to trade him. There is another Defensive tackle that seems to be troubled with his current situation and you may be familiar with him, Albert Haynesworth. Would you do a straight up Harris for Haynesworth trade? Peppers and Haynesworth? if he comes to play this could be a deadly combo. Maybe they both just need a change of scenery. Do you look for draft picks? Do we take Tommie and a 3rd rounder and ship him for Logan "Da Mauler" Mankins? Cut him?
Personally I love Harris. I have his jersey and he I believe was the first draft pick Lovie made and he looked like an untamed beast when he first came in. I think between 2005-07 the best/athletics tackle in the league he was a great force but has fallen. I would like for him to stay this season and see if the Peppers effect brings back the Tommie we miss. He is still very young and could easily return to his dominant form I would hope its in the Windy City. I know many people have different views on him so let it out!
