Fantasy Football Week One

Ok great post guys but now lets ask questions?

Example: In a league i have AP, Benson, & Forte at RB

AP is a must but im thinking of puting Forte (vs Lions) in and take Benson (vs Patriots) out. The Pats will put up points and the Bengals will end up passing and playing catch up. But Da Bears migh want to get cutler started in the new offense and not run a lot. what do u guys think?

How did you get that team?

How did you escape the first four rounds with

Gore
Austin
Brees
Charles
Stewart
Best

Seriously, not to bash your friends but they really don’t have a clue when it comes to drafting…

Not sure

It’s certainly a good team, especially at RB, but not necessarily a paper champ. He has some depth issues at WR.

As far as my WR go

I don’t understand your issues with my WR, Miles Austin is the main guy in Dallas, Robert Meachum is becoming a favorite of Brees, especially in the red zone, Mike Wallace showed some promise last year, and with Santonio gone he should get more of the throws, Michael Crabtree didn’t have a great year last year, but it wasn’t terrible, and he didn’t play the whole year, Bryant I picked up in the later rounds, and i thought it was a value pick.

Austin is your only #1 WR

Everyone else are #3s at best, and will suffer inconsistencies throughout the season. Crabtree is your next best bet as he may turn out to be a Meacham suffers from being in an offense that spreads it out too much (for fantasy only). I have Holmes too; I believe him to be your third WR once his suspension is up. With that said, you still have a very good team.

Huge fail

Not sure what happened there, but Crabtree could end up being your #2.

IMO

Austin is my #1, but look at Meachums stats last year 45 catches 722 yards and 9 TD, not bad in my book, plus Brees QB rating when he throws to Meachum is perfect, I think you’ll see him going to Meachum a lot more, and I don’t have Holmes, I have Wallace from the Steelers, who is their # 1, sorry but Ward is not their # 1, wallace had 39 catches for 756 yards, and 6 TD, and he didn’t start all the games. Crabtree may not be the # 1 in SF, I think that’s Vernon Davis, but I got him too. Dez Bryant will end up replacing Roy Williams, cause he just sucks, but I’m not expecting anything major from him until around the 5th game. But either way, I’m lucky enough to be in a league where most of the people involved don’t have a clue.

You hit it on the head

Not to many of them have a clue, someone drafted Minn def in the 2nd round, someone took Robbie Gould I believe in the 3rd.

What do you guys think about Dexter McCluster listed as a WR?

Anyone feel it’s worth stashing him on your roster, and seeing if he starts to get 8-10 carries a game at RB, and a few targets in the passing game?

It’s intriguing that he’s listed as a WR… especially if he gets used more as a RB. It potentially creates one of those unique advantages… like when Colston was listed as a TE in his rookie year.

love McCluster as a reserve pick

huge huge upside. playmaker. they’ll get the ball in his hands for 8-10 touches. I could see a Reggie Bush type role

I'm not a fantasy "expert", though it would be awesome to make fantasy football predictions all day and get paid for it.

Rodgers is going to be a fantasy monster this year, barring injury, so it’s pretty sweet you got him in both leagues. You’re set at QB and TE. Overall I think both teams look pretty good. If they were my teams I would drop a kicker and defense for both and try to pickup some RB/WR depth. Definitely need another WR behind White and Ochocinco other than Robinson. Maybe try to trade Cooley for a #2 WR?

I love FF drafting Rodgers,

he worked really well for me my first year. I’ll definitely take the suggestions. Thanks!

Here's a suggestion

Never say you love drafting a Packer. It’s a dirty little secret and must be kept that way. :)
