There is no situation on earth where Ted Ginn Jr
is anything even remotely like WIllie Gault. Stupid 49er FAIL.

OH didn't you hear?
He’s dead now. So as a ghost apparently he can just continually talk trash about a group that’s largely not even people he played with.

Does this mean the defense
You’ve got to tighten the coverage down to give the rush a half a chance to make that quarterback bring the ball down, let him hold it an extra half a second or a second. That’s paramount to the rush.
will make an attempt to take away that annoying quick slant? Wow…an adjustment made two years too late!

Woah woah woah.
Don’t get ahead of yourself.
“Tighten the coverage down” means that when the wide receiver runs down 5yards, at that point the corner will tighten up and cover them.

At least that's a start
No more 7-10 yard cushions on 3rd freakin’ down!

Good luck, Danieal Manning!
That’s an area that he has never excelled in.
And don’t get me started on Chris Harris gafs when left to defend a fly route (see 2010 Oakland Raiders preseason game).

Jerry Angelo: Taking the Mask Off pt. 2
Yesterday it was the O-line, today it’s the secondary that Jerry shows a sign of truth with:
“Let me say this: I guarantee you this: we’re doing many different things in the secondary than we have in the past. It’s not déjà vu,” Bears general manager Jerry Angelo said. “I know that’s what you see. That’s what you have to write. I understand that. But we’re doing a lot of things in the secondary that we have not done here on a consistent basis.”
After seeing the team go through the preseason and get manhandled by Matt Leinart, Colt McCoy, and Jason Campbell, I think Angelo is finally conceding the point that the secondary needs improvement that only “skilled talent” (not to be confused with raw potetnial) can bring.
I’m glad the Bears made some adjustments that might not have been popular with some high paid veterans.
Now, it’s time to invest in a top corner in next year’s draft or seek a top end FA to play alongside Bowman in 2011.

I'm not sold on Bowman either.
Tillman’s coverage skills are inconsistent, but at least he makes up for it with turnovers.
Bowman
seems very passive in coverage, I think people got a little too excited bout him, he might turn out to be good, but at this point in his career he definetely needs to step up.
At this point-- who knows?
I am not completely on board the Bowman train just yet, but I do think he has the potential to be a good no. 2 CB in this league. If he is as good as many sports reporters suggest he “can” be, then with a season under his belt— he should improve.

That's my concern...
with most of this Bear’s team. It seems we are always waiting for the next player to step up. There are all these guys with “potential” but never seem to reach said potential. I agree he’s a good #2 CB, but then again I could say the same about Frankie O or D Hester or Chris Harris or Mark Anderson or Chester Taylor or Dez Clark. The Bears have seemingly amassed a whole bunch of #2s and/or back-ups but very few starters (in any sense but de facto). It’s not that any of those guys are horrible, but they are also not great by the same token.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO FIRE LOVIE!
and that's not good in a division with megatron and greg jennings.
Five foot three seems to thrive on his misery...
Anyone who has 6 picks doesn't suck
Maybe it’s the passive scheme everyone complains about? Hopefully, they take the proverbial “chains” off him this season.

Bowman had 6 INTS!!!
With a D line that can’t pressure well…………And playing off the WR by 7 yards………..Well it seemed like that at least…..
Is it me,or do the Packers really suck???

Why are the Bears NOT starting Major Wright on Sunday?
Lovie has said that he will be on SP/Ts against the Lions.
Lord forbid something happens to Wright and you are now saddled with Manning and Harris as your only safeties, because you are conceding to veterans and/or draft status.
smh.

Flashes of Raji from last year?
"We’ll be able to get after them," Suh said. "Even if they have a totally different game plan, we plan on getting after that quarterback and hitting him."
He’s a big girl alright, but if he pulls Cutler’s head the way he did Delhomme’s, Mr. Kreutz will have a few words no doubt.
And by words you mean
punch him…. right in the face.

According to Sean Jensen, Football Outsiders projects the Bears to reach the playoffs.
Interesting read; Cutler was hurried on 22% of his pass attempts last season. According to Jaworski, of course, that didn’t factor into his inteceptions at all.
