Offensive franchise player?

As you can tell from my screen name, I am a huge Forte fan. I have like him since the minute we drafted him in 08.If you look at all we did this season with what we had, I will still continue to be the biggest Forte fan as long as he plays in a Bears uniform. And if you dont believe me, just ask my wife. I argued with her last night for an hour on how I want my next childs (who's due in July) middle name to be Forte.

I know that brining in Cutler was a Franchise move and he was chosen as the new face, or one of the faces of our franchise. But after watching every game this season, In my opinion Forte is my choice for the face of our franchise (offensivley that is). Some might argue that Hester is the biggest name on our offense but Im talking offense here, not Special teams. Amidst one of the worst O-lines in the league, Forte has proven that he is the beast of our offense. Even taking a look at last nights NFC Championship game. Forte didnt make a lot of mistakes and acutally put up really good numbers against Green Bays defense. 70 yards on 17 carries and 10 receptions for 90 yards. Im not too sure of a lot of other backs that could do that against Green Bays defense. Not to mention the Bears records books that hes been re writing. If Forte stays with the Bears and we address the O-line issues this offseason, I dont see any reason why Forte cant be in the top 5 running backs in the league for years to come. In my opinioin, he is the offensive MVP this year for the Bears and will be the Franchise player we need. Forte all day! Bear down!
