I'm Proud of the Chicago Bears AND, Our Leader, Jay Cutler
It’s been a tough couple days around here and I’m sure you guys are struggling, too. Knowing that you didn’t get the job done is a tough pill to swallow, but, unfortunately, we’ve forced ourselves into having to gulp it down.
MAN, I wish things would have turned out differently! I’m just happy the loss didn’t happen as a result of a lack of effort, because this team fought hard all the way to the end, and that’s something to be seriously proud of. Even after we lost Jay, we still almost pulled out a victory, because our team remained determined and Caleb Hanie put together a tremendous performance.
We wanted to go to Dallas -- We wanted to play in the Super Bowl -- We wanted to get some rings -- But, we fell short. And it’s tough knowing that that’s our reality.
BUT, when you step back a bit and take a good hard look at the season the Bears and 4th Phase put together, you begin to put things into perspective, and realize that this was a helluva season! Back in August, all the "experts" picked us to finish anywhere from third to last place, with projected records that hovered around 5-11. Yet look at what we did in spite of the naysayers! TWELVE WINS and only SIX LOSSES, PEOPLE! We made it all the way to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! And we did it because your 2010-11 Chicago Bears was a team of high character, who was led by a great coaching staff, and supported by an amazing group of fans! This season was absolutely amazing!
Please don’t let what I’m about to say kill the proud vibe we should all be enjoying, but I gotta get a little something off my chest before closing out this post...
I’m very upset and disappointed about the way people have treated Jay, as far as his injury is concerned. Current players, the media and fans have judged him without knowing anything about the extent of his injury and this really rubs me the wrong way. Jay is a heckuva competitor and a heckuva guy, and it pisses me off that people actually think that he’d fake an injury in the biggest game of his life.
Jay has been a leader the entire season. He led us to a 12-6 record and an NFC Championship birth. And for people to downplay what he’s helped us accomplish -- well -- that doesn’t make me happy, at all.
Sorry for the rant, but I had to let those feelings breathe a bit...
Aaaaanyway... It’s been a helluva ride, 4th Phase! I’m excited be a Bear and proud to have you guys as fans!
BEAR DOOOOOOOOOWN!!!!
Don't you guys run off, now that the season's over. Click here to get at me.

And we are all proud of you.
Way to stand up and tell it like it is.
Bill Swerski: Alright, alright! Now, let me shift gears here for a moment. What is God's role in this? Obviously, he's rooting for Da Bears.
Pat Arnold: Otherwise, he wouldn't have put 'em in Chicago.
Thanks. And is has been a great season indeed.
Congratulations.
If you can't laugh at yourself you must not be very funny.
I remain a pessimistically hopeful Bears fan.
Well Done, Chris
congratulations on a wonderful season and get ready for the next one, because I feel we will win it all next time!
I'm tired of the Media
trying to portray Jay Cutler and even Lovie Smith in a certain way, when all that matters is what those guys in the locker room think.
Great Season Chris
If you go in the bathroom, turn off the lights, and say "Da Coach" 5 times while facing the mirror... Ditka will appear and slap the wussy right out of you.

I agree
Let Jay know there’s plenty of “true” Bears fans that have his back
There's always next year....
Enjoyed it
all of it, give us the same, and more, next year.
and if you talk to Jay, let him know that you know, straight from the horse’s mouth so to speak, that many, many Bears fans applaud his season, his effort, and his toughness, year long.

You are definitely one of the fan-favorites here, and I think the way you have come and had Cutty’s back just solidifies that. Bear Down!
WILDCARD BITCHES!!! YEEEEHHHAAAAA!!!!!
The fact remains that Daaa Bearssss
were NFC North Champs & played for the NFC Title. ALL the pieces involved for the Chicago Bears were a part of these accomplishments.
Thanks for a great season.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we have a full tank of gas, 1/2 pack of cigarettes...it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Very well said!
Couldn’t agree more, with every word
There's always next year....

Congrats on the Season and get ready for next year!!!!
Hitman…if you would do me one favor…give Jay a text, call, or when you see him in person, let him know that the vast majority of Bears Fans…have his back!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is a shame that that will be the final sour note on such a great season!

Thanks for posting all year Hitman
and don’t worry we aren’t going anywhere. Like everyone above has said it was a great season and I for one was happy to see you prove everyone wrong. Here’s to next year and another successful season that hopefully ends with a Superbowl win.

Preciate the Posts Hitman
I for 1 have cussed more than a few people out over this whole Cutler thing. Common sense would tell you that if a Qb cant RUN or plant his foot to throw he shouldnt be in the damn game, But Common sense isnt so common nowadays. Has Maurice Jones drew even seen the playoffs? and didnt he miss the Jags last cpl of games with a knee injury, while they were fighting for their playoff chance?

Thanks for a great season Hitman!
Looking forward to next year.

What a year
Thanks for a great season. They are lucky Lovie wouldnt let Jay go. We definately would have won. Major props to the D for keeping the almighty mr rogers off the scoreboard for nearly 3 qtrs. You guys just get ready for next year. As far as the “experts” criticism is concerned, i am surprised they dont have any knee injuries themselves from jumping on and off the bandwagon so much this year. Thanks again for a great season and I will see ya in Indy
The Bears
To start, Chis Harris is the man. When the Bears reacquired him, I knew it would only be a great step to seeing the defense return to greatness. Let’s hope the Bears don’t make the same mistake twice and lose Chris again. If there is a player that needs an extension, it’s Chris.
On the Cutler issue, I do not doubt at all that he was injured. What I doubt is if Jay has put in all the necessary time required to be a great QB, aside from the God-given arm talent. Throughout his 5 years in this league, he has yet to kick the horrible problem of throwing off his back foot. Time and time again, with the Broncos and now the Bears, this has led to countless interceptions at what seems like the most inopportune times. He was simply awful Sunday before he got hurt. He looked like he wanted to be somewhere else from the minute of that first intercepted pass. What hasn’t been mentioned much, though, is the lack of teammates coming up to him while he was hurt on the sidelines Sunday. And Fox couldn’t stop showing his mug non-stop. This seems like a recurring problem with Jay, though. I’ve been to plenty of Bears games, and I’ve never seen a player so ignored or either ostracized, it looks like from his teammates. The reality is the Bears have what they have. A QB with a strong arm who will be great one game, awful the next., which I guess is better that what they’ve had in the past.
throwing off the back foot has also resulted in a lot of great passes, according to coach
Gotta take the bad with the good, I guess
There's always next year....
Also...he doesn't have to learn a new playbook this year
That means he can focus on fundamentals more this offseason. I give him a pass for his early years, because young players usually don’t spend time on that stuff, especially young players who are very successful. Anyway, I have no doubt Jay will spend a lot of time this offseason working on this stuff. I expect a monster year from him next year.

This year went completely differently
than I expected, and even with the last sour taste: I’ll take it.
Thanks for everything Chris. We’ll try not to let the haters take over and you try not to let them ruin it for you either.

hammerblows you dealt opposing ballcarriers as well as the INT’s you gave us this year.

2010 was a success.
The Bears played hard all year and played well for most of it, especially the defense. Everyone here is behind you all and looking forward to next season.
Nice hit on Jennings to start the game by the way!
Chris...
Thanks for the great season and we appreciate you taking the time to visit this site and udpate us with your views. While the Superbowl would have been great, I am proud of what the Bears accomplished this season and am already looking forward to next.
As for the criticism of Jay, please know and let Jay know, that while I cannot speak for all members on this site, I am disgusted that not only fans but other players around the league attacked him at such a vulnerable time. It was completely uncalled for and should be sternly reprimanded by Commissioner Goodell. I, for one, hope that Jay recovers nicely and leads us to the Superbowl next year.
Chris, make sure to keep a list of all those players who jumped on twitter right away. While I don’t necessarily wish harm on them, it would be nice if you could give MJD a nice stinger if we happen to face them next year.
Have a great offseason and don’t forget about us.

Well, there IS one way...
And personally, I would like that way very much. I’m sure the team would too.

Great job, Chris!
Thanks for the excellent season!!
On a side note to WCG readers: I’m personally waiting for all the Jay Cutler haters to come onto this post and try to convince The Hitman that Jay Cutler isn’t a leader, and doesn’t ‘look like’ he hates losing enough to satisfy them. If they’ll say it to us fans, because they truly believe it, why not say it here?

Well Said
Chris just like everyone else said, let Jay know we have his back. Everyone played great this year and we are proud of all of you. I’m looking forward to next year!
Thanks for the great season, Chris!
We’re all very proud of the season you guys had and can’t wait to see what you guys do next season. And as has been said here many times already, tell Jay we got his back!!
Thanks for your backbone
Solid team mates stands up for each other. That is just another reason, Mr. Harris, why you are a great Chicago Bear. The more garbage Cutler gets from the ignorant idiots the more I support and like him. This team has so much class and many more victories and championships in the future. Thanks for giving your all this year. Oh, one more thing please. Mr. Cutler, I believe, very much cares what the true loyal fans think of him and also what his coaches and team mates think of him. I think he could care less what the stupid, egotistical, negative, spoiled little sports talking heads think of him. I love and truly respect that! Thanks again and Go Bears!
We all have your back, no question about that. Great season you guys, come back next year and lets win it all.

Super Bowl XLVI Cahamps!
Congratulations on a great season Chris! It was fun to watch. I look forward to supporting our favorite team, and our franchise QB, next season.
season
i’m very proud of this season too, and the effort you guys gave all year, and don’t apologize for your rant about the way Jay has been treated. There is not nearly enough people doing that, I thank you for that. With Jay as the Bears leader, they will be contenders for the next decade.
Thanks for a great year!
Hey hitman, I am one of the many who appreciate what the Bears accomplished this year. I’ve been with the Bears through thick and thin since I was 6, This was a great season, far beyond my expectations, just short of my hopes ;)
JC is the man, we’re lucky to have him, and I hope he can take all this BS with a grain of salt. If I were him, I wouldn’t talk to reporters next year, let his play do the talking. I don’t know him, never met him, but I look at his attitude a little differently. The guys a stoic, stays emotionally level, and took a beating that any of the “great” quarterbacks would have bitched about all year. Chicago’s a funny town man.
Thanks again for a great season, and we look forward to seeing you all back next year.
We're proud as well!
Great season Hitman, and congrats on the second team All-Pro. You exceeded my expectations this season. Great to have you back in navy and orange….enjoy your offseason!
