Hey -- What-up, guys. That was a tough loss, yesterday - wasn't it? (Pack - 10 / Us - 3). I REALLY wish we could have pulled it out. We played hard and had every intention to win, but just couldn’t get the job done.
Even though we lost, I gotta say that a lot of value was gained by our guys who haven't been to the postseason before, because Lambeau definitely had a playoff buzz about it. That place was absolutely ELECTRIC. The playoff-esque experience gained will - without a doubt - be carried over to our first battle in the second round.
Defensively, I feel pretty good about the way we were able to hold them to 10 points. Remember... Those guys put up 45 points last week against a very good Giants defense. We played real well on 3rd downs, holding them 2 for 11. If we could’ve got a couple plays back, the outcome of the game would have been much different. Peanut deserves a shout-out for that great interception he made. It was absolutely excellent and just might be one of the best interceptions I’ve seen from our team all season.
All year long, I’ve been so proud of this team. To put things in perspective... At the beginning of the season, everyone had written us off, predicting we’d finish in 3rd place. Well, those analysts couldn’t have been more wrong. Because when I look at the standings, I see a first place team with a 11-5 record. ;-)
This has been a great season and it’s not even close to being over yet! We’ve got a week to rest up and get ready for whoever comes into Soldier Field during the second round of the playoffs, and I promise we’ll be ready to go. We’re going to keep riding this wave and get that win, because it’s Super Bowl or BUST, baby! BEAR DOWN!
