Raiders Acquire Carson Palmer

Bengals get a first-rounder in 2012, then a conditional second-rounder in future (that can turn into a first based on his play). Raiders now have no first, second, third, fourth or seventh round picks in the 2012 draft.

To put it in perspective here's a few other QBs, younger than Palmer, stats

Cutler (age 28) – 17,440 yards | 61.4% comp | 112 TDs| 83 ints| 84.6 rtg

E. Manning (age 30) – 24,424 yards | 58.3%comp| 167 tds| 118 ints| 81.4 rtg

P.Rivers (29) – 21,197 yards| 64.0% comp| 142 tds| 65 int| 96.5

Carson is actually pretty on-par for his age.. I mean I know he kind of dropped off his last couple years at Cincy, but people need to realize he’s a solid to very good QB. Worth two 1st rounders? Definitely not.

Well he's only really been injured when he had the devastating knee injury. Other than that he's been fairly healthy.

I just don’t think he’s ever gotten his confidence back after that injury.

He's more talented than KO.

Testaverde would probably be my choice of an analogue. Or possibly Bledsoe. Talented, statuesque, never quite reaching their potential, big injuries, etc.
