Chicago Bears Game Ball - You make the call for week 7
The week 7 contest between our Beloved Monsters of the Midway and those Buccaneers from Tampa Bay ended up being a much closer game than it should have been. But the W is all that matters, and sitting at 4-3, winners of 3 of their last 4 games is a good thing heading into the bye week. The London game had it's fair share of exciting moments and it's fair share of players that are worthy of a game ball. But we can only hand out one, so after the jump vote on who you think should receive the week 7 Game Ball!
The Offensive Line - The pass protection continued the upward trend away from crap and the running game was clicking. The pass protection yielded two sacks, that I'll break down in tomorrows Sackwatch, and there were plenty of holes and cutback lanes for Marion Barber and for nominee number 2...
Matt Forte - Matt "Insert Nickname Here" Forte had another outstanding game. He had 25 carries for 145 yards and a TD, and 2 catches for 38 yards.
Lance Briggs - He continued his stellar play with a pick and 2 passes defended, to go along with his 6 total tackles. He was also named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his game.
Chris Conte - I thought I'd throw the rookie a bone in the Game Ball Poll. He had an interception that he muscled away from Bucs WR Mike Williams that saved a TD. And when Tampa got tricky, he made a good read and stayed in pass coverage. Negative points for the airplane celebration...

I'm giving it to the kid
Forté needs a new house to keep them all, Briggs is now even for the preseason antics.
No debate here, Forte gets it.
He’s the only part of the team that made meaningful contributions and had no egregious screw ups.
"You have a young group and if they start feeling too good about themselves, that’s not a good thing. So it’s my job not to let them. So probably they will hate me. But that’s OK too. My wife hates me and she’s still married to me." - Mike Tice
