DJ Moore Fined $15,000 for Altercation with Matthew Stafford
Per Sean Jensen, nickelback DJ Moore was fined $15,000 for his retaliation on Matthew Stafford, and there's almost certainly more to come. Earlier this week, Kyle Vanden Bosch was fined $7,500 for a late hit and Earl Bennett was fined $10,000 for his orange shoes.
Watch this thread as we'll update it if and/or when new fines are released.
Update: Matthew Stafford fined $7,500 for throwing DJ Moore to ground. Per Biggs.
Update II: Rob Sims fined $7,500 for piling on. Per Dave Birkett.
Update III: Nick Fairley hit with $15,000 for roughing the passer. Per Jason LaCanfora.
Update IV: Ndamukong Suh and Lance Briggs are NOT fined. Per Peggy Kusinski.

I'll say it again
Stafford deserves a fine for bringing Moore down by his helmet behind the play. Moore wasn’t even the ball carrier so if Stafford doesn’t get a fine this the NFL pencilnecks who hand out these fines are totally full of excrement. (more than they already are).

So if my tallies are correct.....
Nearly $50K in fines have come out of this game. Only two of them are on Bear’s players, and one of those is for having the wrong dress code (a 10K fine which is apprently more important to the elague than physical altercations, but don’t get me started). In all I’d say we did pretty well – I don’t think Moore should’ve gotten fined more than Stafford, though, that’s bogus.
Hey any word on if Suh is facing any more fines for late hits on Cutler?
May the Oline hold, May Cutler not get sacked into oblivion, may Urlacher break some legs, and may they come to their senses and pay Forte. AMEN.

Fines aren't done yet
From what I understand, every player that got off the bench and even looked towards the pile will get something in the neighborhood of 2,500. Those players that were involved, even as peacemakers, will all be fined increasing amounts.
*whistles*
Interesting. Considering the benches were pretty much cleared onto the field, those fines are definitely going to keep piling up.

May the Oline hold, May Cutler not get sacked into oblivion, may Urlacher break some legs, and may they come to their senses and pay Forte. AMEN.
It's still coming off the bench
either way, they shouldn’t do it. Since you can’t read every player’s mind, you’ll have to fine them all equally.
I certainly understand, especially since DJ basically got mobbed, but it doesn’t change the rules.
If he hadn’t gotten up and speared Stafford, nothing would have escalated. The only reason Stafford got a fine at all is because it became a big scrum.

is straight with their fines, penalties and rules. Urlacher hit a couple weeks ago not called aq penalty but fined. Briggs unbelievably great hit is not fined but a penalty. Open Letter to Roger Goodell.
Since I can’t afford to have these sorts of things posted in the Tribune, then I’ll set it down here. Mr. Commish, you sir, are a pathetic joke. Your lip service payed to “enforcing the rules” and “player safety” is the very measure of inconsistency. Why do all of these incidents keep happening in the NFL? Because no one takes you seriously. When you can reduce someone’s suspension for alleged sexual assault by two games because he’s the star player of the defending superbowl champs, then no one takes you seriously. When you have a special meeting with a repeat offender to personally warn him that his conduct is unbecoming of a professional in the public eye, then turn a blind eye to his continued violent misconduct then no one takes you seriously. When two hotheaded coaches practically come to blows on the football field, an incident that was covered in the press ad nauseaum, and you do absolutely nothing to them in response then nobody takes you seriously.
When there are flagrant cases of personnel deliberately trying to cause harm to another player and either ripping off their helmet or throwing their head to the ground results in you doing nothing, in the face of concussion awareness and player safety, then I can say with full certintany as a fan, that none of us take you seriously. I reiterate, your actions are inconsistent with your words, and that smells worse than most of Detroit.
Resign, get out of our face, and stop playing favorites.
