Bill Swerski's Superfans Present: What are you Thankful for?

Joe_20mantegna-bill_20swerski_medium

Bill Swerski here, along with Pat Arnold, Carl Wollarski, Todd O'Connor, and my slightly angry brudder Bob wishing all you Chicago Bears fans a Happy Thanksgiving.  Myself along with the other Superfans wanted to jump on and spread some holiday cheer on this fantastic holiday.  A holiday which is second only to that uber holiday;  Super. Bowl. Sunday.  After the jump we'll all give a few things that we are thankful for, and we encourage yous to do the same.

Star-divide

I'll go first...

I'm thankful for a certain Navy and Orange clad football club, that resides just west of a certain lake that puts the M in the H.O.M.E.S. acronym, that has given me so much joy through out my humble and joyous life.  Da Bears.

I'm also thankful for having so many great friends that I can share my love of Da Bears with.

And of course, I'm thankful for Mike Ditka.

And next up is Pat...

Hello, I'm Pat, and I'm thankful to the Sausage Industry for creating such a glorious and tasteful food that I could literally eat at every single meal.  And I do.  I'm especially excited and thankful for this recipe that the misses will be cooking today.  I love you baby!

Moving along to Carl...

Thanks Bill.  I'm thankful that Da Bears and the NFL were created by that genius George Stanley Halas, Sr.  It was his foresight and imagination that gave us the thing that we all love most to this day.

And I know I may get some flack for this, but I'm thankful for the Green Bay Packers, for every great hero needs a foil.  Every good guy, needs a bad guy.  And without the Packers the Bears could be forced into main rivaling with the Lions.  And we all know how dose guys are.

And now over to Todd, who we all hope can grasp what we are doing on this wonderful day...

Thank you Bill.  I'm thankful for my family, my friends, and for everything that I am fortunate to have.  And by everything I'm not speaking in monetary terms, but in terms of my ability to laugh my ability to cry and my ability to spend the good times and the bad with those that I love and cherish so much.  That and beer.  I'm really thankful for beer.

OK...  Very moving my friend.  And last but not least, to round out the 'thanks' on this Thanksgiving is Bob Swerski, my brudder.  And as I mentioned in the open he's in a bit of a sour mood today, as his most recent heart attack has led to a strict doctor mandated diet regimen, and he's been a grouchy ass that's bordering on the negative.  Bob, the floor is yours.

I'm thankful for Norv Turner. Prior to this past week, I thought Lovie Smith was the only coach in the league stupid enough to call a timeout prior to challenging a play.

I'm thankful for Frank Omiyale, and how he has made me appreciate beer even more.

I'm thankful Caleb Hanie, and how he will make me appreciate Jay Cutler more.

I'm thankful for Jared Allen. For without him, rednecks would still be looking up to Jeff Foxworthy.

That's plenty Bob!  Thanks fellas, and Happy Thanksgiving to all and to all a good night!

especially on Thanksgiving. I love those guys.

I'm thankful that Thanksgiving is only once a year

its my favorite holiday, but if I ate this much food more than once a year, I’d die of obesity-related heart failure at 35.

If its free, take two.

Love That Ball Punch

I’m thankful for coach Lovie for always keeping a cool head under pressure and managing a staff of ex coaches. Mostly (Mr. Martz) keeping the egos in check. I’m thankful for Peanut Tillman’s ball punching skills. That is truly a super power. I’m thankful for a classy guy like Matt Forte who continues to play at a high level and will get paid. I’m thankful I was born and raised in the great state of Illinois and grew up watching Gale Sayers, Mike Ditka, Dick Butkus, Walter Payton and Da Bears!

Does anybody...
