Chicago Bears Sleeper of the Week: Safety Major Wright
It's taken a bit of time to get going, but second year safety Major Wright has taken advantage of opportunities that have come his way in the last few weeks. He's registered an INT in each of the last three games, and this week will face off against the Oakland Raiders passing attack, highlighted by QB Carson Palmer, who is getting settled into his new offense.
We know that teams will challenge our defense, and Lovie Smith's bend but don't break approach often leaves the underneath routes more vulnerable (see: opposing TEs), but Major Wright will undoubtedly have his hands full Sunday against speedy WRs Darrius Heyward-Bey and Denarius Moore.
Hopefully, Wright has another big game this coming Sunday.

I'm really excited about our safety duo in general
It’s one of the first times that we have two young starters there in a long time.

Major Wright is developing into a promising starter at SS
Just needs to stay healthy. Carson Palmer is getting warmer, but he also has thrown a few to opposing defenses. Our secondary as a whole needs to take advantage of any opportunity to give Hanie a chance to lead the offense to TD drives.
Jay Cutler is our QB, and I for one am proud of that

No biting on PA Major
This will be the key as well as stopping Bush and the ground attack.

Well...
If you stop Bush and the ground attack, you won’t be seeing that much PA in the first place.
But yeah, regardless of whoever is under center, that team is built on the run game, and we all know how much Palmer loves play action. Stop the run game, and I think the Bears have a great chance.

Whether they stop it or not
they’ll most definitely run some play-action. It’s a big part of their offense.
